Re: What are you doing today ??

Just got back from Symphony Hall where I saw the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra play the Elgar Cello Concerto. It was magnificent.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I'm back cycling to work (or doing a mix of cycle and train) and it doesn't half help!

Having said that, I'm not fully gig fit (think it's the extra stone I'm carrying since last September) as I found out last night in the pit....I was still ruling it, but even I had to take a couple of breathers!

It appears to be going a bit early 90s on the gig front - Therapy?, Thurston Moore, Mudhoney all in just over a month! 8)

Re: What are you doing today ??

My ears are ok, but then I was in the mosh pit, not stood with my head in a bass bin like you Rich! :D

I'm currently chilling out and resting my bruised body with the Thurston Moore album "The Best Days" in preparation for next month's gig. It's certainly hitting the spot at the moment.

Re: Weekend plans?

My weekend started on Wednesday evening which was a quiet one. Thursday was Therapy? gig with Kwacky (top notch gig...and I'm glad I took today off as I'm a little sore from the moshing I started!) Friday got some housework to catch up on then off to Costco with my mate who supplies me with a lift t...

Re: Stratford airport cafe meet Saturday 18th

Hmmm...25 miles....that's not beyond the bounds of possibility for me to get there on the pushbike. Wouldn't be able to make it there for 10 though as got stuff to do (and a lot depends on the weather too!)

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Rather than continue hijacking the Mr Postman thread I thought I'd start a new thread here! Thanks for all the support - tried out the new wrist splints last night and they did seem to make a bit of a difference. I managed to get a better, if not perfect, night's sleep so I'll keep on giving them a ...

Once a biker....always a biker

OK, so with my eyes being shot I'll probably never throw my leg over a motorcycle again....but it doesn't stop me loving them - a point brought home to me today when I saw a couple of contrasting bikes that made me grin like an eejit . First up was a parked up 09 plate red Ducati 848. It was achingl...

Willing to try most things if it helps relieve it! I'll see how I get on with the splints and take it from there. My local pharmacy sells TENS machines so if I want to try it I know they're available.

Re: Mr Postman

Today the postman brought me a pair of wrist splints. No, not a nasty w*nking injury, but severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists which has come back with a vengeance now that I'm off the steroids. it's so bad I've been waking up every hour or two with my hands feeling like they are on fire. I ...
