Re: Budget tax increases

The new road tax is only relevant to new cars registered from April 2017.

I've tried to find any relevant information for bikes but not found it yet.

And yes every insurance premium you pay out will rise but at least 3.5% from November.

Re: Budget tax increases

I don't understand the car tax part? So if your paying 20 or 30quid road tax now in a couple of years the lowests emissioned cars will be forking out £140 quid per year in road tax!? And I also took a quick look and the insurance premium tax is going up too...so insurance prices will rise, great!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Road it to work...and then realised why i don't do that very often. The time you gain in arriving early is lost when you consider you have to get your gear on before you leave and then off again at the other end. been there ...

We'll be doing the speedway again, it was a top day.

I can't commit myself at present to an off road day, but I do want to do one.

Budget tax increases

... with separate tax and NIC rates and just have one rate of charge for both. Equally new cars registered next year will have to pay £140 per annum road tax and if the car costs more than £40k new then you will have to pay an extra £310 road tax per annum for 5 years. Think its all a sign of what ...

Re: OFF ROAD DAY - Sounding you guys out

I think looking at Mick's web page we need to work out if we want to do a mix of full on MX and Enduro or just enduro?

Personally I would like to experience it all, rather than just the one discipline.

OFF ROAD DAY - Sounding you guys out

Tw-t of the day

I'm riding along just over the speed limit in lane one of a 2 lane road. It's not a dual carriageway. Up ahead I spot a cyclist. There' a car in front and he's spotted the cyclist at the same time. I see the car driver check his mirrors. He and I indicate ...

Re: 8 months prison for a wheelie

I got no time for these type of pricks in 30s. What if he had killed someone over the zebra crossing (on the other side of the bloody road) the old bill did right for 8 months inside. Then he should visit a family who has had a family member killed from dangerous driving. Failing that take ...
