... under the seat and it isn't really a hard tail. correct. It's the HT version of the Bonneville 1200 engines (HT standing for High Torque. There is also HP - high power on the thruxton) However it's been tuned for even more torque lower down for extra grunt.

You should never be using all of the travel in case of emergency. Even the MotoGP boys have a couple of mm travel left for an 'oh-sh!t' moment.

Also, if you're using all the travel on the road that means everytime you get to a big bump your spine gets butt-rammed so hard you can't see straight

I've got other bits and pieces lying about. I've found a box of bits. I need to check what's in there but it looks like the heat shield and some lowers.

There's also a pair of unused Vortex clip ons. I think these are 48mm, again I need to take a proper look.
