Friday 4th Sept - Wales Rideout
... the Isle of Man trip seems to have died a death. I can't make it anyway as FIL's health is worsening.

I still have the day booked off though so I'll spend the day on the bike around Wales. The kids should be back at school so I'm hoping the roads will be quiet after 9am.

...

whats the point of it though ? I didnt think the end result was all that good , certainly not worth all the time and effort spent on it , unless he was being paid to do it .

... has been doing it for a few years and always seems to enjoy spending time with his grandchildren. My step mum is nice enough. We've never bonded though. She's one of those classic middle class types who does loads of work for various charities and likes to be seen doing her thing in the community. ...

Just wondering if anyone had tried them and if they were any good? The guy in J+S reckoned they were brilliant but then he is trying to sell me something. £120 for the Shoei one though!

Re: Test rode the latest DVT Multistrada today.
They have stopped doing extended warranties currently. It was said to be a legal issue with the company providing the cover ( even though it was factory backed) but there is no info on anything new to replace it. My extended warranty runs out next June so that was why i have started looking ...

... box section is true first. Maybe on an inspectiontion table or some other guaranteed flat surface. And not overtighten the bolt. Looks well setup though. Why do sssa not need this out of cuirosity? I have to admit in all my bikes i only ever checked once on the daytona using the marks on swing ...

Test rode the latest DVT Multistrada today.
... my Multi in on. Thoughts are: The engine is a corker. Smoother than mine but with an induction roar similar to the Panigales. Pulls like a train, though doesn't feel quite as fast as mine but i think that's down to it being much smoother. The speedo said my mind was playing tricks. :D Colour dash ...

Re: Wheel Alignment Jig
The SP has a fabricated and machined swing arm Andy and susequently the standard marks are pretty dam accurate (didn't know this this until I used the jig to verify it though) but it's useful on the kawasaki who are not Honda accurate with there markings.

Re: New Ducati 955
I personally can't see Ducati making a triple as there sports bike roots are well and truly lodged in the vtwin camp. Happy to be proved wrong though. Regards middleweight etc I think that's exactly what the 899 is and you have to see it more as middleweight power and performance rather than ...

Re: New Ducati 955
I would have put money on them not upping the capacity as it would put it too close to litre bike. Do like the sound of a 955 triple though. The 899 has 148 bhp so they must be looking at 160-170 next?

Looking forward to seeing your new tank all in Kwacky. I've managed to take off my CBR400 and Daytona tanks off. Never did the ZX6R though. I remember the other 2 being very easy no problems what so ever

That wing suit lark is a bit hairy, not saying the zip wire isn't but becoming a large stain on a mountain is distinctly possible with that hobby, iirc there's been one or two top guys wiped in the last year doing stuff like that. Either would be a huge rush for me though!
