... a £1000 carbon fibre Chris boardman race bike on the cycle to work scheme. He was the biggest p1ss head ever and not into any form of exercise. After a year of owning it I asked he had used it much. His reply was once to go to the off lience and hang 4 cans of Stella off it (blush)

Tricky, they are supposed to help prevent hand injuries on crashing to aren't they? I might look at one for the track bike after seeing that, I need all the help I can get to stay upright

... is why an 1199 has become of interest again. That said I went out on the 748 for a short blast this morning and that bike runs so beautifully after all the adjustments I have made and the work Mike has done at MES, it probably cannot be bettered as a bike that's a pleasure to ride hard.

I am now resting after a bit of rewiring in the loft, lifting all the loft boards, laying new insulation, fitting new ceiling light fittings. All for the people moving in after us in a week or two.

... her determination and work ethic. They were all pretty shocked at the assembly that a kindergarten student took it out! Not so much today but tomorrow. I'm taking my lad to BSB at Oulton Park tomorrow and after reading him a story and putting him to bed tonight I turn the light out and said good night. My lad shouted back "Daddy we will have a great day tomorrow" Bless him ...

... as well. I like Pirelli Rosso Corsa tyres Rossgo (had 5 sets now) and I would rather have a tyre I'm confident on rather than worry about mileage, after all biking is all about fun and 2000 miles a set is doable.

I tend to agree with Kiwi on this one, he seems more serious about his accident than he was after the Ballascary "fireball" off, I think we all realise that bikes crash - especially at their limit, sounds like Guy has had time to realise that gear saves lives ...

Ducati paint on their earlier bikes is the best of any manufacturer from that era, a fact confirmed to me by Mike at MES.

My 748 still polishes up a treat after 16 years.

... of any work on the clutch, so I'll change the lot seeing as though it could be on the original. If that's the case then I'd say it's due a refresh after 70400 miles! Maybe I'll wait till winter has set in and get the wheels off to get them shot blasted and powder coated again and some new rubber. ...
