Re: Bike covers?

Due to garage renovations my bikes have got to be evicted out into the elements for a month or two, so I need to buy a couple of covers for the bikes. What I want are cheap covers that’ll work for a minimum of two months, won’t rub through ...

Re: 6th - 10th June 2018 - European Tour

... to find a decent hotel with parking for sensible money. So instead of Basel we're only going as far as Colmar. That means a short day on the bikes, which is a good thing as we're doing decent miles the day before. It also means we've got time to take the very long way round as there are some ...

Re: Braked a bit too hard

Robert had a rear wheel collapse at the TT but that wasn't the accident that killed him, that was the one that should have killed him and meant he could only ever ride the smaller bikes afterwards because hes right arm was so badly damaged, and then the engine seized at the NW200 :(

Signed up for this today... http://www.bike4lifefest.com Went to that. F**k me, that was a lot of bikes! We had a great time, my daughter was a good pillion and even managed to wave to the many many pedestrians along the route and got a cheeky dab in there, as children ...

KTM 1290 Superduke - Review

... getting there. Now a little about the 1290, it has the KTM bloodline crossed with the genetics of a fire breathing monster. I've been riding liter bikes for about a decade now, but I've never met anything with the midrange of this thing. There was no QS/ blipper on the bike, but that didn't matter ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Rode it to the BMW dealer so I could test ride some bikes, all were awesome in different ways but none can replace the MT-10. 8) If only I could make it use less go juice. Then I rode it up to Squires to meet a friend with his new bike, a 2016 Suzuki ...

Re: KTM 790 Duke - Review

Think KTM gave a factory in India now and a tie in with a complete any there. May explain some of the quality issues on their cheaper bikes.

Re: KTM 790 Duke - Review

I always thought the Superduke and RC8 were well built and their offroaders are very well regarded.

Maybe they knock these out in Thailand (a lot of bikes seem to be these days) and it makes them big profit.

Re: Just one bike

I don't think PCP would be cheaper, it's just like paying rent imo. But it is an option if I'm looking to keep swapping my bikes. No decision, far from it. Test rides will happen after I've moved. The Versys has depreciated massively, it's quite a shock how little it's worth, so I may ...

KTM 790 Duke - Review

So the 790, how did it go... With the prediction of summer arriving I had high hopes of a good couple of days blatting about on bikes getting mine serviced. All started well with a good blast on the 990 SDR up to the dealers. These are roads I know well and love, so I turned up with a ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Got the bike out for an evening ride to the Staffs Ducati Owners club. Had a nice drink, a chat and looked at some nice bikes. Then this older guy wanders over from one of the houses. Turns out he was a mechanic for.race team at the TT in the early eighties. Raced Ducati Pantahs and ...

... if i so wish and i know what that figure is now. You pays your money and makes your choice but without PCP there would be hardly any new cars or bikes being built now.

Re: Just one bike

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... Sourced a replacement tank for half what they where going to charge, and am getting it delivered to them. Then came the news that all the demo bikes are out today and so is the loaner. So I've got the spare loaner, an ER6 (gah) not what you want on the nicest day of the year so far!
