Re: Chinese Levers

... 2014. That needs to be taken into account. FWIW Chinese produced copies have increased in quality. Don't forget that a lot of us are riding motorbikes with a lot of parts made in China. We use cars with Chinese parts and fly in planes with Chinese metal parts. I've recently had metal fail from ...

We're going to have to disagree on that.

Still one of the most stunning bikes going in my eyes

Re: Lorenzo having second thoughts?

Wouldn't it be great for there to be an open season where the top riders can try all bikes and join the team with the bike that suits them best... think how fast these lap records could actually be.

I would love to see MM on a Duke!

Re: Chinese Levers

I'd never buy ASV. For the price I was annoyed after the black turned to dark purple. My bikes live outside But I may aswell have bought 10 pairs of Chinese levers and change them when they fade. I've had Chinese levers before and n3vwr had issue.

Re: Africa Twin DCT

A vehicle that gets lots of use especially travelling from A to B either for work or similar then an auto box makes so much more sense and ism so much easier to use.

I await the day when road bikes have a seamless box. But I suspect we will see the death of the ICE before then.

Africa Twin DCT

... I have ever owned). And thought I would give the DCT model ago. I mean I really went there in the mind set of slating it. Having ridden sports bikes most my life and enjoyed track days, and doing off road on the 800XC (and I don't mean fire trails or gavel paths). I ENJOY CLUTCH... (giggle) ...

Re: Chinese Levers

I've used these on a couple of bikes now and never noticed any fading or had any other issues.
Made in Germany and TUV approved. So not as cheap as Chinesium specials.

Colour fading is the only issue I've had, but my bikes spend a lot of time outside.

But that's 2 years away. We've no idea what the Honda and what the Ducati GP bikes will be like by then.

Re: Mr Postman

Not the post but picked up a bottle of Paraffin for chain cleaning and also some cheap blue towel (tissue) for when i work on bikes, always comes in handy both from B&Q. So cheap for paraffin, less than £7.50 for 5 litres. I do need to clean my chain as haven't cleaned it for the ...

KTM seem to be pretty good, my local dealer (premier bikes) has been about for ages and they are all proper bikers. Helped me out a couple of times by squeezing me in the workshop when really busy. The main one was to fix the oil leak the day before ...

... the £20 oil upgrade (Motul 300V). I might try the local-ish KTM dealer for the SDGT, they seem reasonable on price and very passionate about the bikes which is usually a good sign.

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

... bike I want. Staffs Triumph were brilliant, as have been JHP and Cornerspeed for Ducati. I think the Ducati expectations relate back to the older bikes which needed someone with the knowledge and experience to know what to look for and what can go wrong. Problem is now that you need an expensive ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... make it run any cooler but might stop it going over 105 at traffic lights. http://www.tuneecu.com I was told you cannot use Tune ECU on the 13 MY bikes. I read it somewhere and a dyno centre I spoke to said the same. I believe it can lock the ECU needing Triumph Dealer reset if tried.
