Re: What are you doing today ??

... of cake. Great day out with mainly dry roads and my mad Italian friend grinding bits off his vstrom (gear shift linkage), he didn't want to swap bikes because he wouldn't want to give the KTM back, and his wife says he can't have one. :D

KTM 790 Duke

... a few mags and websites as well as holding down a proper day job for Regina Chain. In 2018 i've been lucky enough to get my hands on a few press bikes. One was this KTM 790 Duke. I only had it for a day, hopefully in 2019 i'll do more with KTM but we'll see. In 1934 Hans Trunkenpolz founded a ...

Re: A Third bike

... they do trade ins). [emoji23][emoji23] i did LOVE my 675. I'll be honest though the insurance on the 675 is double now. When I looked after my bikes got nicked it was triple and since then we've had a nice run of bikes getting nicked so insurances haven't gone down an aweful lot. Low life scum ...

Re: A Third bike

Be intetesting to know where Jordan's get their stock from. They seem to have a lot of low mileage barely used bikes for sale.

Re: Journey to Biking

That's exactly why taking steps to bigger bikes works out so well. Well done to you to get those rainy miles in, many people will not want to ride in the rain but certainly not saying we haven't all been there

Re: Walt Siegl Ducatis

Bikes you'd want to take to a bike meet....and ONLY to a bike meet.

That ambulance-themed Ducati is interesting..../

CCM Foggy edition Spitfire

Looks good and bet it's fun to ride. 62bhp and 135 kg dry weight. Not cheap though.

Walt Siegl Ducatis

... https://mcn-images.bauersecure.com/PageFiles/667285/1000x750/custom-ducati-1098-2.jpg However i am more drawn to the air cooled engined Leggero bikes. I am fairly certain an air-cooled Ducati is next on my list, though maybe not one of these with their price tags. http://waltsiegl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Shot-01_020-COMP-1500x1124.jpg

Re: Recommendations Please: Suspension Setup

That's fair enough Nutz. I can understand. To be fair the there's really nothing like getting if set up properly. Had it done on 2 of my bikes and it transformed the bike, so plush. Good luck getting it sorted early next year i would expect it to be quiet in the new year. Please let us know ...

Re: Middleweights

... have we seen a decline in the amount of new riders coming through? We now have these extra tests that youngsters must take before getting to big bikes, maybe when these guys get to bigger bikes they will be calling for sports bikes again? Would be a shame to think middleweight wouldn't come back ...

Re: What you watching?

Some show about the Australian hot-rod culture. The cars & bikes range from the exquisite to the bizarre. Pretty impressive for the main part, though.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Took it for its first MOT.

You look after your bikes and maintain them well, but its still always good to hear they've past (y)

Re: A Third bike

... many of these Ducatis are I do need to spend time on one before buying. Fair point and don't be worried about servicing and reliability the modern bikes are pretty much inline with any other brand and problems and expense seem resigned to history now. The big up is they hold there money very well ...

Re: A Third bike

848s have a really nice motor. The smaller Ducati sportsbikes are a bit revvier than the 1000cc+ bikes and have a nice balance of revs and torque.

The 848 Corse SE i rode a few years back was one of the nicest Ducatis i have ridden.

Re: Stow Breakfast - 9th Dec @10

Good to meet up again, seems like a long time since I was at Lucy’s for breakfast, I do apologise for being in the car but er indoors doesn’t do bikes. Had to laugh when she said to me “ I thought Frank was turning up” and my reply was “ that’s him in front of you “ lol On the plus side the shopping ...
