Once you use the bike the lube will get spread about anyway. I always do the chain last when I'm cleaning ...

The instructions say for best results apply to a warm chain. Easy enough 99% of the time, you just apply after a ride but what do you do when you've cleaned the chain and it has no lube left on it? Would you ride it for 10 mins to warm it up even though there's no lube on it of just apply it cold?
