Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering
That whole situation seems crazy to me. In Aussie, we have agreed value stated on each years insurance certificate. It is usually the book value, and if I disagree I can have it lifted by proving why it's worth more (low km's for age, mods, extras etc) but once the ...

I swapped them, plus a few quid for a mid-level Alpinestars two-piece, Missile V2 or something. Quite pleased with them and nice to have a change after 16 years.

... I pinched the map if anyone fancies trying it. MCN.jpeg The only downside is I had a wardrobe failure (zip) and two blown fork seals! So after 16 years of service, my Triumph leathers now reside in Leicester J&S changing rooms. RIP Unknown.jpeg 14f6b16d-7684-47ce-93f9-076669a9fd55.jpg

Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering
They do have a really nice Rally in stock, 2 years old and 6 k miles, being a used bike seems to make the insurance happy too as the quotes online are not all 4 digits. I've been considering a couple of adventure style bikes like V-Strom 1000/1050 ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
If we're talking mileage, in the last 2 years I've done 5000 miles on my pushbike and commuted by car only a handful of time I fart a lot though so I'm producing significant volume of methane. Oops.

Re: Stonesie's GS Mods, Farkles and Tinkering
I can't think of anything but the frame which would write it off so I'm going to let it go, I can get another in a couple of years after the insurance calms down a bit. The most sensible option would be to get the payout, settle the finance and wait until spring to get another, cheaper ...

No update but they did send my insurance renewal quote... £1310
With no decision on the current claim yet that will go up despite protected NCB of 12 years.

Ouch, that stings.
Anyway, it's not even been 30 years since they last won a Superbowl....they're still in the hunt.

No, not just BREXIT, we've had an ageing population and a skills shortage for many years. Sadly the government (including the previous Labour government to some degree) has managed to convince a majority of voters that Mohamed the brain surgeon is after their job! ...

Yeah...it's the first episode, and I remember seeing it 3 or 4 years ago. The horrible dubbing isn't doing it any favors.
It reminds me of The Hunger Games, another show I never really got into. I'd watch it again though.

Going to see Band-Maid over in Anaheim tonight. This gig is going to be soooo good....I've literally had to wait for years to see this band, while Covid put things on hold, dates got canceled, then moved back again & again, etc. I'm moderately excited about this. THIS IS GOING ...

Going to the pub to meet some mates, including a bloke I used to work with. I've not seen him for about 10 years.
Then off to the football. First home game of the season, new owners and a tribute to Trevor Francis. It should be quite the atmosphere.

... low. https://i.imgur.com/fvgsZcv.jpeg I will actually miss the 900xr but it was time to scratch the itch for the GS, it's been niggling at me for years since I tested a 1200 back in 2018.
