I think I was looking at the back tyre.
Wait a second.....his knee is just behind his elbow?
Wouldn't that be the strangest case of double-jointedness ever??

The news...
This week's Darwin Award goes to a woman in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The good news...
During a power cut, this brain-surgeon-to-be managed to locate, & subsequently light, a candle.
The bad news...
Turns out the 'candle' was in fact a stick of dynamite.../

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports
It's a nice looking bike to be sure, but the color-scheme, general purpose of the bike, etc....all scream BMW to me.
Not that that's a bad thing, I suppose....I just find it a bit odd.

Rather one of those than a deer, I think.....but either could ruin your day if it was big enough. That little fawn I hit years ago just exploded on impact ....but that was a tiny fcuker. Barely cracked the left side lower. Frickin' leg was killing afterwards.

Re: Chinese Levers
Parts made in China is one thing....bikes made in China is something else. They're still a generation behind in manufacturing/quality-control terms. It's still a "Newly Industrialized Country" ('Developing' as opposed to 'Developed') according to the IMF & The World Bank, who I guess h...

I've got a genuine question too!
If you were going skydiving for the first time, and right as the "Go" light came on, you noticed a 'Made In Hong Kong' label on the chute. Tell me you wouldn't think twice about the whole idea????
"This chute inspected by ¥₩°¥¿".....

Re: Whoops!
I think it comes down to mental approach. I don't think riders who are inclined to wear hi-viz are out to cause carnage. Two-piece leathers vs. a one-piece, etc......you dress according to how you're going to ride. As for drivers, I don't think a bike/rider "registers" with car drivers in ...

Nothing. Forecast is for "Hot-As-Fcuk" for the next couple of days. I'll lay around the house & watch The History Channel, play guitar, etc.
Maybe get some cycling in if I feel energetic (I won't).

Sad news. I seem to remember that he hadn't been well these past few years. The guy will always be remembered for his slapstick, but behind all that was some serious acting skills.

Re: Chinese Levers
I remember ASV replaced my lever(s) 'cos they'd turned purple.....there'd been some issue with the anodizing.
Ironically, when you look at them through a tinted screen they look purple anyway.
I suppose it comes down to whether you want them to look good, or work good.

I think you spend a "fortune" (really?? - you drive a Porsche!) & be happy, or you go cheap & be doubtful. ASV!! - the choice of champions & amateurs alike. Cheapy Chinesey - amateurs, and ONLY amateurs- apply within. Frickin' cheapskate. Disappointed in you, Blade. You wouldn'...
