Re: Good thing about moving house...
My dad foind an old pic a few years back, believe it was just before my CBT so around 4 and half year back. From that he made a list of all the bikes he managed to own and cars and the reasons he got rid of them! I was stunned how many he's been through. He used to hate me changing my car but ...

Re: Project ZX6R
Double edge sword tbh.
If it's a low speed crash they will help but if it's a high speed they can dig in and do more damage than good apparently. Which is why you don't see many on track bikes I believe.

Re: Want!
Iirc Ducati have used adjustable rake on both their race bikes and some of the road homologation "R" models, so it's not a new idea to vary the rake in that way afaik. I can't see how it would vary the rake if the bars were turned, but you'd ...

... work so hopefully Duke maybe able to shed some light on the subject as very little he doesn't know about Ducatis. Regards the heat I know these bikes are used little in towns but you have to use towns to get to the twisties so it's unavoidable really.

... also a remap will reduce it dramatically. Also read today that fitting this year's bike head bearings changes the rake to the same as the 2015 bikes. I'm very undecided about what to do next year at the moment.

Re: Guy Martin injury update
... Kiwi on this one, he seems more serious about his accident than he was after the Ballascary "fireball" off, I think we all realise that bikes crash - especially at their limit, sounds like Guy has had time to realise that gear saves lives - and (his) limbs, and sometimes you don't necessarily ...

Ducati paint on their earlier bikes is the best of any manufacturer from that era, a fact confirmed to me by Mike at MES.kingfixer wrote:Put the eazi grip tank pads on and gave it a good clean and polish !! Not bad for a 12 year old bike
My 748 still polishes up a treat after 16 years.

Slipper clutch and ABS both standard on the bikes and no price increase for 2016.
Looks like another sell out year for Kwak and the SX.

Re: New Ducati 955
Pretty much confirmed there is a new Panigale or update of some description due asap.
Apparently fast bikes have been invited to a Ducati bike launch at a foreign track event in September.
My money is on an 899 EVO with more power and a few tweeks to keep it fresh.

I would wait for the V4 Duke or you will only be swapping again.
Hang on cancel that above statement get a Panigale then trade it in for the new V4 in a year or too. Now that makes much more sense.

I keep convincing myself its not sensible to buy a Panigale....but then takes over again.
I looked at the one on the Ducati stand at Silverstone ( and the Superleggera in the paddock)

Yes it does Perks. Tbh the picture doesn't do the beemer justice. Apart from the police logo it's just a couple of stripes / decals on a stock red BMW and if I had a stock red beemer I would copy it as looks very good in the flesh.
