If that’s the prep for the colonoscopy, put some wet wipes in the fridge. Make sure you have plenty of liquids, I usually drink more than they recommend as you just turn into a hot water heater by the end.

Re: What you watching?

Re-watched Bohemian Rapsody before the rental ran out.

Got to say they were true ‘music artists’, really shows how much manufactured crap is around these days.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Don’t double it. 10% a week is a good rule of thumb. You still have an injury so I’d even drop back a bit till that’s 100%. I learnt the hard way about that. I was running 10-20km a week and decided to train hard for the Sydney City2Surf to break the magic hour ( had done 64 mins yr before). My trai...

Re: What are you doing today ??

That sucks why so long? good news that its all healed :) The good old NHS that’s why, gonna look into cost of private op ! Unfortunately the same issue here, I’d hate to think where I’d be atm if my company didn’t pay for top level medical insurance as part of my package. Glad to hear you’ve healed...

Re: What are you eating ??

Had my lad home with me yesterday and he wanted to have sushi for lunch. So we did.

Unfortunately some part of that banquet didn’t agree with me and I’ve been up since 1 am (now 1 pm) with Delhi Belly.

He’s fine, luckily he didn’t inherit his father’s weak digestive system.

Re: Kwackys MV Agusta F3 800 ongoing review

A mate who was in the RAF told me about it years ago. Apparently he used it to remove scratches from the canopy of Tonardo cockpits so you can imagine how fine it's gets. You don't want reduced visibility due to unsightly scratches in a fighter jet after all. I may have acquired some of the same st...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

So now I’m allowed to do ‘no impact light cardio’ I went for 3 km walk, took just under 32 mins and had an average HR of 115, which is right in the fat burning rate (60-70% max HR) I’ve put on 8 kg since I’ve been home so time to start reversing that. I’ll leave it tomorrow and see how the body is a...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Depending on what was happening with his heart a defib may not of helped. They won’t restart a stopped heart, only return a heart to a functional rhythm if it’s gone out of whack but still has muscle activity. He didn’t have a bleed you failed to stop, you didn’t move a paitent thy should have been ...

Re: Bike racing is back!

The pay TV packages in Aussie are pretty poorly prices for what you get. And to include the Motorsport channels it is an even higher tier. Be looking at about $60/month. When you consider I’m not even home to watch it 40% of the time and like yourself when I am I already pay for Netflix and prime. I...

That’s pretty much the exact same set up at the training facility we use. I have an onboard clip of one of my training launches, I’ll see if I can find it.

Re: Bike racing is back!

So I’ve never bothered to follow the WSBK races to much as normally my life is that hectic that I struggle to keep up even with the MotoGP, though I do maintain a MotoGP VideoPass subscription. But since I’m home till at least June now, I’ve got plenty of time to keep up with both. My only real opti...

Re: What are you doing today ??

That is the way of things. Life is not permanent. For anyone, rich or poor. Just to add one point here for everyone, find out where your nearest public access defibrillator is. We have one which is a 2 minute run from the house at the local school. If you or anyone else ever needs it, that bit of k...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Gutted for you St Marks, but as others have said, you did everything you could do, and professionals with the right equipment couldn’t do any better. I didn’t read one bit that indicated you failed. Quite the opposite, could you imagine how much more horrible that would have been for Rozz if she was...
