Re: Hill climbing

I bet there are a few broken bones after a day of that. Doesn't seem to be a right way of attempting it.

Re: Traffic Cops working hard..

Yep, and odds are he will NEVER change, because in his mind he did the 'right-thing-that-ended-badly', and that's all he did. He'll justify it to himself (and anyone daft enough to listen) all day long.....he's been doing it already for years/decades.

Re: Braked a bit too hard

Robert had a rear wheel collapse at the TT but that wasn't the accident that killed him, that was the one that should have killed him and meant he could only ever ride the smaller bikes afterwards because hes right arm was so badly damaged, and then the engine seized at the NW200 :(

Re: Braked a bit too hard

... didn’t Robert Dunlop encounter something like this at the TT? Resulted in a court battle with Honda that he won from what I recall. You might be right - didnt a similar issue kill R Dunlop in the end? Was it his rear wheel. I'm recalling from memory so i could be completely wrong (blush)

Re: Test ride day

... in, it's the only way to do it so that I had a get out if SHTF and I had to shed monthly outgoings fast... doing that on a 15K bike is beyond me right now, I was looking at the used BMW's of around the same price tag as a new MT-10.

Test ride day

... didn't stop it attacking some of my favorite twistys at indecent speed... And I had to raise the seat to the high position to avoid pain in my right hip, the MT pegs are really low, they must be. It was good on fuel too and surprised me when I set it to Dynamic, the standard exhaust started ...

Re: My latest blog out now

Having the right kit really helps. If you're dry you relax and don't feel the need to rush home. It means I'm more relaxed as well, as you point out.

Riding in the rain is something riders should do. You learn to plan ahead.
