No need to be, mate, its a date that needs remembering.
On Cannock Chase just down the road from me there is the an ANZAC cemetery. Every April they commemorate the soldiers who died from the flu epidemic of 1918 whilst training for the WW1 trenches on the Chase.

Heard from the garage today, all sorted. With a bit of swearing he's managed to get the bolt out and got the new collector fitted.
Just need to get the mot sorted now and I'm back on the road

That's the beauty of middle power mode Duke. I'm not sure what the parameters are for changing over the fuel map but it basically switches between low and full power modes depending on how your riding . very good system on the road.

Re: ZX10R Review
My honest opinion is that without power modes the latest bikes would be so difficult to ride in normal road conditions. It's nice to be able to have the full blown instant power sometimes but it's also good to be able to restrain it a bit in wet weather or heavy traffic.

Hi Tony
I work in South Coventry (Binley) so if you seen a Green z1000sx or a black zx6r it could be me.
Track days are addictive. I was looking at that Mallory date myself if I get the 6r back on the road.

Re: 2014 Kawasaki Z1000SX ongoing review
When I used to ride off-road a lot back in NZ, it was quite common to pull the clutch basket and drill a series of 1/8 th holes in the sides. Used to help the cold clutch snatch and smooth out clutch use. This was on 2 strokers thou'. I would research well before doing on a big road bike.

Re: S1000RR test ride
The thing with lighter wheels is they have so many benefits. They improve handling, suspension action, braking and acceleration. Really are a good mod IMO. I was very cynical about what an average rider like me could feel in the road but for me anyway they were a fantastic upgrade.

... spec'd forged wheels for the Pikes Peak Multi. I guess a saving is a saving, though i'm not sure there would be any great benefit to the average road rider on the BMW when the standard wheels are pretty light anyway. I suspect if you were able to ride them side by side most riders would notice ...

That's just nuts as the mulit has a winning wsbk engine from only a few years ago and the s1000rr is a road legal bike restricted to 2/3 revs. Just shows how fast things have come in recent years.
