If you plan to keep the bike and have enough for a second race shock that's definitely the way to go and the most cost effective as when you sell the bike simply remove the shock and recover your money. I must admit I do fancy a Ducati Sportsbike at some point in my motorcycling career and the logical choice is a 1299s. I guess I need to hurry up though as I can already see myself leaning towards an adventure bike in a few year.
