Yup.. home insurance rocketed for us too.

What really takes the piss is that my Dad pays less for all his insurances despite everything being much higher value... £90k car, £350k house, etc, etc. Even his energy bills are less. When you have money, everything is cheaper.

But when he spent time in a mental health facility and threatened to do exactly what he has done, there was ample chance for that to be reported and the risk followed up on.
