Re: Chain question.

I did the same to the first chain breaker I bought. That's what I get for buying cheap stuff off eBay. Even with a decent kit it still needed a bit of manual finishing.

Re: Poll: Has the Isle of Man TT become too dangerous?

When hasn't the TT been very dangerous? Sure speeds are faster , but bikes are a different breed now to what they where even 10 years ago. Tyres, brakes, chassis, electrics, etc all have improved immeasurably. But riding on a road circuit against the clock is always going to be a risk, ...

Re: Hayfever season

My little lad suffers from it quite badly, apparently you need to keep taking the medicine, even when you're not showing any symptoms. I don't know exactly, the missus watched the article on TV and relayed it to me, but since we started doing it with Finn it's a lot more ...

Re: The 1st Tankslap Giveaway

... I was on a track day at Rockingham. Unfortunately I looked like a 70's porn star in the leathers I was wearing. Went home and bought a new set even though I'm as tight as a ducks bum. There are limits although I do have this http://youtu.be/uGdR9iLgU80 Although not strictly a photo

Re: This sort of thing always chokes me up

Everyone knew about it, even the Allies for most of the war. We were sending ships back loaded with escaping Jews, knowing exactly where they were going.

Re: Chain question.

It even sounds like you don't have a Cush drive in the sprocket carrier at all? Has it fallen out during fitting? Depends on severity but StMarks makes a very good point to check IMO.

Chain question.

... to tight continuously when I rotate the wheel. (on stand & off stands) Answers not on a postcard but here please :) My personal thoughts on it even though I cant see any sticking or stiff links, is just that some of the links are stiff and not locking in the the teeth on the front sprocket ...

Re: Mr Postman

Even more spiders!

My wife can't have a go at me this time, they were sent as a freebie from someone I know as I donated a male spider to him last month. These were a thank you present.

Job done, thanks for all your help.

There's a lot of satisfaction in doing stuff yourself (even if I do need to ask how to do it lol)

Re: Engine temps again

Can't remember exactly but think the stat is full open around 78c. So if your moving at a fair rate it shouldn't go much above that even on a hot day. If your stopped and there's no air flow over the rad it will go up to 105 fairly quickly and then back down to 100 when the fan comes on. ...
