The Samaritan's link does state that the standards of proof used for determining suicide have been lowered recently in England & Wales (since July '18, I think). This would at least in part, if not wholly explain the increase in numbers.
I didn't get into by how much the figures would be offset.

Something did make me laugh this morning though, I asked a colleague if they had decided who they're voting for and they replied, "yep, Conservative". I asked what was the main reason for that vote and she said, "they want to legalise weed". This person is a 30-40 year old recen...

Then at what point does someone decide voting is worth it.....when the other side only has a 20% majority? 10%?? Neck & neck??
I just think that if you're going to vote, then you do it regardless of the odds.

The only wasted vote is the vote not cast, and it only takes one voice to start an avalanche.
