The Samaritan's link does state that the standards of proof used for determining suicide have been lowered recently in England & Wales (since July '18, I think). This would at least in part, if not wholly explain the increase in numbers.
I didn't get into by how much the figures would be offset.

Then at what point does someone decide voting is worth it.....when the other side only has a 20% majority? 10%?? Neck & neck??
