It's shit, but on the plus side both bikes will be up and running and I won't have to spend anything for a while (I hope).
I might be able to get some money back by selling the damaged zx6r petrol tank and plastics.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Ordered a big bag of stainless steel nuts and bolts for both bikes. I'll start to swap them over from the OEM ones as I'm working on them. Hopefully I'll get it done before winter.

BMW K 1600 GT SE
... our illustrious Mr Kwacky my review is not quiet as polished, but does come with a video :D The K 1600 GT SE part of the ultimate touring range of bikes that BMW produce, not something most of us on here ride right now, but hey you never know. I spent two hours on one on the way up country on Saturday ...

I wouldn't mind a go on the ER6 race bikes they do. You can get 80bhp out of them. That's the same engine.

... from a twin which is aided by very good fuelling. The throttle is responsive without being snatchy. In fact it's much better than a lot of sports bikes I've ridden. You won't be breaking any speed records but the bike pulls away swiftly from the lights. Despite the limited cc of the engine roll ...

Re: 2016 BMW S1000RR
You can buy nearly three year old 1199s with less than 3000 miles on the clock.
As you say, i'm not complaining as we can get barely used bikes for 2/3rds of what they cost new but it does make you wonder what the motivation is to spend so much on a bike that people hardly use.

Re: 2016 BMW S1000RR
... RR is just some colour scheme changes, I have no idea why they would be talking about these models now, its obviously some marketing push. The bikes looks remain the same, both sides are different, so the gills are on the other side.

I couldn't agree more. These new bikes are stressed to the limit. If they do fail it's an expensive fix.

Re: Warning about fuel station thefts.
Very true with how quick it all happens. I went to the NEC a couple years ago and there was a stand of how thieves nab bikes. Amazing how they do it with a scooter. I must admit I always leave my gloves on the yoke whenever I fill up and pay. I do always have a doubt at the back of my head.

I've used Halfords stuff in a couple of cars and in a couple of bikes before. Seems pretty good stuff in my opinion. Maybe not the greatest but for a couple thou miles here and there can't be that bad surely!
