You can see how tiny the 2015 RCV is in this shot with Dani Pedrosa on the bike.

Re: Iannone leads Ducati one-two in test

The rules have been in Honda's favour for too long, IMHO. Their ability to spend money like no others leaves them with a big advantage. There are a lot of rumours about that if the Ducati GP15 isn't a bike that can win races, then Ducati will quit Motogp as they can no longer justify the expense. I...

Re: Iannone leads Ducati one-two in test

Teams with the most money and resources will always win Duke, just the way it is unfortunately.

I think on certain circuits the soft tyre is a disadvantage and the preference would be hard. The main area the softer tyre option helps open class teams is in qualifying.

Re: Performance Bikes Tyre Review

Totally agree Duke, tyres are definitely very personal.

One good thing I like when reading about the m7 is they have altered the profile to aid turn in over the m5 which IMO was one area the m5 lacked in comparison to the competition.

Re: Performance Bikes Tyre Review

The M7 isn't an upgraded M5, it's a completely new tyre. The M5 was pretty good but the M7 is streets ahead of it. Much better grip in wet and dry, far better on the track and improved mileage. Looking at the Metzler application chart I posted the m7 is developed for the same market sector and appl...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing M7rr Metzeler review

As everyone is very interested in tyres and specifically the M7RR I have found some very interesting information that I thought would be good to share:

Metzler & Pirelli Application Chart & Tech Data

Some really useful information in these Tech Documents, especially the application charts. Metzler Application Chart is page 4 in the attached link: http://www.metzeler.com/site/uk/mediaObject/MetzelerSite/DE/grafik-30-05/TDB_METZELER/original/TDB_METZELER.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.hr...

Re: Performance Bikes Tyre Review

For track and road I would go with the Rosso corsa Perkles.

M7 is an update of the m5 with very similar characteristics but more suited to the higher power outputs of modern litre bikes is my understanding.
