Re: New gear

Dainese is very good, have a pair of gloves that are at least 3 years old, been down the road twice and look almost new still, problem is money for Dainese gear + they are made for skinny Italians not massive fat brits, I genuinely struggle to find stuff ...

Re: New gear

RST and Furygan don't last from what I've been told. Alpinestars stuff last a couple of 3 years in my experience. Dainese I've heard good things about

Re: Possible house move

Jesus sounds bad if you're buying a new build. Must admit in the last 5 years or so our little village has turned into a town and loads of flats and houses being popped up all over the place. They build in the areas where we used to get very bad water log and ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

So far getting rid of a migraine is top priority, this week off is going well lol. Next on the agenda is to remove the cylinder head from a Peugeot 206 1.4... shouldn't take too long, 10 years ago I would have whipped it off blindfolded but being off the tools for a decade may slow me down.

Once the biking season actually starts this year I think it might be time to start thinking about for new gear, Had RST stuff last few years, and personally, I wont be buying again, literally every single item I have the stitching has come undone, or logos have peeled off or its worn through, ...

Re: Possible house move

... same again if I knew I would get 20 grand compensation at the outset, if I was willing to accept the pain? would I fook, absolute not in a million years. I've been ill, upset , depressed and close to walking away and I consider myself a tough character. Your decision clearly but I would personally ...

Re: At the roundabout take the 4th exit

I love this stuff - someone did a load on the underground a couple of years ago - harmless fun.

Re: going electric

20 years is definitely feesable. Look how far they've progressed in ~10 years already. Hybrids are just test beds/softeners for the public which most manufacturers sell now. Tesla have done a lot to kill the stigma of electric ...

... making petrol cars before 2040. Company car tax rules planned will make anything other than an electric car, a non starter for most buyers in 2 years time. To be honest as a commuting vehicle they will make loads of sense to the majority. How many people often do journeys of more than 20-30 ...

... resistant to change - it's in our nature, our routines, & that's reflected in nearly every facet of our lives. Look at hybrid cars...25 or so years ago they were hi-tech hippie-machines for the tree-huggers to wrap their arms around....these days, no-one gives them a second thought. Cellphones ...

Re: London scooter thief jailed for 10 years

Literally looked at the mugshot of an evil person. He isn't even the tip of the iceberg though, similar groups do the same for mobile phone jacking too. They're get 5-10 phones in an hour, £100 each and they've made £1000. Quick easy money and they don't care about who they hurt in the process

I use ebay less and less because of these issues - we lost thousands on a jukebox years ago that a crooked buyer returned broken and with bits missing. I tend to buy things under £50 there but others i try to avoid. I hope you get ...

Re: London scooter thief jailed for 10 years

Id rather of invoked medieval justice system in this instance. This guy has wanted to hurt people, 10 years isnt long enough and he prob wont even serve 10 year anyway. What ever happened to lashings.
