Re: I must be getting old

... past, don't knock it until you have tried one. When I started riding the original GL1000 had not long been launched. I laughed at them all those years until I got to ride one and it totally blew my socks off. I was amazed. A bike that big and comfortable did not deserve to be so nimble, capable ...

Re: Wembley

You know, for a while there even Los Angeles didn't have an NFL team....the Rams went to St.Louis 20-odd years ago, and the Raiders fcuked off back up to Oakland fairly recently. It's only now that there's a new stadium for them that the Chargers moved up here from SD....couldn't ...

It's 10 years old. Did you check the date of the evening standard report?

Re: Traffic Cops working hard..

Yep, and odds are he will NEVER change, because in his mind he did the 'right-thing-that-ended-badly', and that's all he did. He'll justify it to himself (and anyone daft enough to listen) all day long.....he's been doing it already for years/decades.

He doesn't clean the paint, you can't! Not with all the wax and other cleaning products that have layered up over the years (giggle) ;)

Re: Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia

Thanks everyone. It's a bit of a shock. But it's very early so fingers crossed they can slow it or stop it.

If my mum is like her mum she'll be around for another 20 years, telling us she's only got a few weeks left (lol)

Re: What are you doing today ??

I just used the soap that they do not the waterproofing stuff, and dried them out in the sun so a similar effect to a radiator (I think).

I don't want a repeat of what happened with the RST stuff which I re-waterproofed just before last years IOM trip...

Re: Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia

Sorry to hear this mate.

My dad was diagnosed about 5 or so years ago with a form on leukemia. They gave him the same treatment plan, and so far it's been life as normal. Hopefully it will be the same for your mum.
