Re: What you watching?

House of Saud. The corruption the UK government bought into in the last 50 years is unbelievable. And no-one has been held accountable - worth a watch.

I'd also question this. My 990 SD is 7 years old, OK granted it's very low mileage at under 10k, but other than a few stone chips there is no sign of wear.

I've yet to have it serviced though so I may change my mind then.

Re: Just one bike

Ktms build quality is poor Compared to what other manufacturer ? I've been riding Ktm's for 12 years and I've found build quality to be better than most with fantastic dealer support on spares and advice when ever I've asked for it...... Only thing I'm not keen on is the ...

... light (above not covering) by a few cms only. The debate is which colour - luminous might be fun 8) My overboard rucksack is still going strong 3 years later. That must be at least 30,000 miles. It's very hard wearing, no faults and no leaks.

I've tried lots of kit over the years, cheap and expensive. But I've yet to find anything that works better than a decent waterproof over suit worn over anything. Hot or cold riding gear. My current one is Alpine stars, it's breathable and ...

Re: Wet weather KIt

HG stuff is pretty good but it's not the best at keeping the water out. It does last for years though. Most people wash it in waterproofing treatment but that means you end up with a sweaty jacket. Goretex is king. Held and IXS are good brands but they're not cheap. ...

Wet weather KIt

Well it would seem my waterproof kit no longer is ;(

I've been using Bering kit for a good 15 years now and it's been great. Warm, dry and uncumbersome. I do however appreciate that technology and materials have changed so was wondering what you folks are using and would and wouldn't recommend?

Re: Tankbags

Got the GIVI tank lock bag. 3L version I think. Could be 5. Great bag. But comes with rain cover. Had for about 3 years and is main day pack. Very recommended.

They come in different sizes too

... I haven't chased it either.. Hmm. @Cookie - leaving the company isn't an option; I owe them thousands for my education. I can leave F.O.C in 4 years. This is why I'm looking elsewhere within the company. It really is a good company to work for but there are so many small teams that the dynamic ...

Re: Just one bike

The 'go-to' would surely be the BMW GS...?

Personally I'd go for a supernaked with a bit more wind protection but I'm hardly practiced at road riding (nor commuting) in the last couple of years
