Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Nothing to the bike, but I'm a step closer to riding it again.

Picked up some leathers of Gumtree. Alpine stars 2 piece suit, in good condition and never been down the road. £120 with a pair of summer gloves.

Will keep me going until I've got enough spare cash to buy new ones.

9 miles fine and dusted. Had to walk a bit on one of the hills, but support son came from a fellow club member and son got me running again.

I'm knackered now and my legs hurt. Probably another distance run over the weekend.

Re: 520 Chain Conversion

The only difference I noticed was the sprocket wore out much much quicker, but at 600 miles a year that's never going to be a problem.

Personally I will never put an alloy sprocket on a road bike again but only because of the mileage.

Definitely Kwacky. Must admit when I didn't come off and got settled a bit, I felt like a riding God [emoji1]

It has however opened up my eyes to what unlevelled surfaces can do and it's not something I'm fighting to do again, so I may just stay away from hatches from now on!!

Re: Datatool S4 Green Fob issue

A crack in the board makes sense. That'll explain why it doesn't work against the back of the fob, as the circuit is physically supported by that part of the fob casing in a couple of places, allowing it to flex when you press the button. I've not tried your ...

... police are not focusing on pedal cyclists who in my experience can be a real hazard to other road users. Looks like bikers are becoming a target again which is not good to hear as barring a few idiots most people are sensible safe riders.

Re: E BAY HELP - I have a question

It seems that people do this now, rather than have a reserve price on a listing.: the start at a silly low price, then if it hasn't reached a threshold that they are happy with they pull the listing before it is due to end.
If that is the case, they'll probably re-list it again soon.
