Re: Argentina
I don't think Marquez will heed any warning and I hope I'm right as will make for very good racing and hopefully a classic season with two awesome riders going head to head at each round.

Re: 2014 Kawasaki Z1000SX ongoing review
Pretty sure it will be the basket but ask Mike's advice. As I say don't think it will cost much at all. You can pull the clutch plate and basket without dropping the oil.

Re: 2014 Kawasaki Z1000SX ongoing review
Where do you drill the metal plates or the basket ?
I would assume the basket if trying to improve oil flow and cooling.
Pretty quick and easy job tbh. If you don't fancy doing it Kwacky it wouldnt be more than an hours labour for Mike to do it if it helps.

Re: Argentina
I don't know tbh, would have to watch it back again, but I did watch it back a few times last night and personal thoughts were it was a racing incident and that's how race control judged it. I take it things look different now. Do you think Rossi was at fault then ? Or was it a case of your their bu...

Re: Argentina
I like racers who always go for the win. People like Bayliss, Edwards and Stoner are my hero's and all those guys always raced for the win, second was always first of the losers. I realise the record books show champions not race winners but personally speaking I admire the racers who always go for ...

Re: Argentina
Thing is Ducati were second with the same hard tyre so not sure it was a bad choice personally. I agree Marquez is a rare talent and also very very lucky to race on the same track as a legend like Rossi when he is learning his race craft. Personally I didn't see it as a rash move. It was a racing in...

Re: S1000RR test ride
The thing with lighter wheels is they have so many benefits. They improve handling, suspension action, braking and acceleration. Really are a good mod IMO. I was very cynical about what an average rider like me could feel in the road but for me anyway they were a fantastic upgrade.

Re: S1000RR test ride
It doesn't matter what Honda or BMW wheels weigh. All that matters is what the net reduction is for a specific application. I saved 0.5 kg and it totally transformed the bike. Don't get lost on the numbers. The weight saving is minimal, the effect us huge. If you ever get chance to try a pair back t...

Re: S1000RR test ride
My wheels saved 0.5 kg which is probably typical of what BMW will be saving.
In my opinion there a good mod, expensive but also worth it. Just my opinion.

Best mod that can be done in my experience and with me benefiting it proves you don't need to be a riding god to notice the difference. It really is a night and day transformation.

Re: S1000RR test ride
You would need to try them back to back IMO.
They really did transform the sp from an oil tanker into a 250 gp machine.
