Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

I've got a tub of that stuff as well. I've used it on the Versys but not on the AT. Over the next week weeks I'll give the AT a big clean and probably wheel it to the back of the garage for the winter. Ok cool.. also a rag drenched in acf50 to rub down all the spokes.. PITA but my main worry. Rusty...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

About 4500 on it. No issues with rust that I have seen Some of the bolts look a bit dull. I need to book it in for an annual service. It's a year old now. Ok. I'm taking my tiger in for a 6k mile service this weekend. [emoji38] Only collected it on 30th June and has 6,500 on her. Just incase you we...

How many miles on it now? And is it still all corrosion free?

Re: New bike

Selling a 100K mileage bike, is a excellent achievement. Keep your new bike nice and shiny as its possible by care and maintenance. New bike looks good. Yeah it was still a reliable bike. Got £2k so not bad. And looked top condition still. Anyway sold. Now can look forward to enjoying the new bike ...

Re: New bike

Hey Kwaky... Going back to our chat about looking after the new toy and keeping the old tiger to carry on the work.... Hmmm Decided to sell... Colleague at work bought it. Even though it's got 100k miles. So now the new XCA will be used... I guess for what I should be using it for. And not to keep n...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Saw one in a dealers the other day and tbh I was scared to sit on it. I knew they were tall but I wasnt expecting tall tall (shocked) Hahaha... Same here. I cocked my leg over and got stuck with my thigh on the seat and me foot in the air.... Then tried getting on via footpeg.. ended up getting one...

Re: New bike

It's arrived.... Me and mate collected yesterday. Very impressed so far with the quality and finish. The amount of stuff bundled on the XCA as standard is awesome. Only done 1 mile... Now sitting in garage [emoji38]. Wife already moaning how long it took to collect the bike. So kinda had to just par...

Re: Find D6Nutz a new bike

You can get a brand new SX for just under 10k, with a free tourer upgrade (whatever that is) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201904146973205?model=Z1000SX&advertising-location=at_bikes&radius=1500&postcode=rg73ts&price-to=9500&sort=price-desc&make=KAWASAKI&...

Re: Find D6Nutz a new bike

Unless you're getting one of the new SE Versys 1000 I wouldn't bother. The handling isn't the sharpest but the new ones are supposed to be very good. The Honda Crossrunner is incredibly dull. I second that... Had one as a courtesy bike. Alright if you just want to go to work and back. Sent from my ...

Re: Find D6Nutz a new bike

Yeah that SX my mate has in silver. It's a class of it's own. Is like a really comfortable superbike. Was a toss up for me to go this route or another dual sport. This would be my choice .

Re: Find D6Nutz a new bike

Ah that z1000 definitely out the two.

Love the KTM shame the display is not the TFT like on the 1290 is my only gripe.

Re: New bike

When is new bike day? End of the month. Basically they had a wait on the panniers and topbox carriage. They offered to do at first 500 service if I want the bike sooner. But I told them to keep and I will collect the bike when everything is on it one go. Also weathers crap. Would be nice to get it ...

Re: WTF... EU4 exhaust.. Arrow no removable dB killer

I guess the official Africa twin Akrapovic would also lack the removable baffle too then

Or I'm confusing that with the KTM 1290

Re: WTF... EU4 exhaust.. Arrow no removable dB killer

My understanding is that it is an official Triumph supplied part so it must meet with Euro4 Regs. However..... If you buy an aftermarket can from someone else then the baffle should be removeable. The baffle on my Scorpion can certainly comes out (rock) Ah ok thanks mate .. shame but I understand n...

WTF... EU4 exhaust.. Arrow no removable dB killer

Well just went to enquire about a new shiny Triumph Arrow can for the new bike . Looking a pics I was pretty sure I couldn't see screws around the baffle area.. so called up. Apparently EU4 requirements state no removable baffle / dB killer. So what's the point.. will this kill off the aftermarket e...
