Re: Do you remember your first ride?

Road a 954 blade back home from Silverstone after only 8 months back on a bike which was a sh1t slow BMW pipe and slippers boxer. Scared myself sh1tless the whole way home. Felt like a tiny race jockey perched on top of a missile. I genuinely couldn't comprehend the acceleration and violence of the ...

Can't you go some where like bike paints or rs paints and ask for a touch pen for triumph Daytona red. 99.9% chance it will be correct if not only list a few quid.

Re: A little Kwacky tale

I can't remember what you were riding Jimmy but do remember meeting up with you and a couple of your mates at McDonalds in Macclesfield a good few years ago. We went for a ride out down some of my favourite roads in Derbyshire and I remember you making a very good clean overtake on me and then havin...

Re: Kwacky's Donington Report

I would do but just looked at all Oulton park bike events and the only one I can do is 6th of august but unfortubately that clashes with the mid Wales ride out I'm organising.

Re: Switching from Road to Track

Think is when you hang off more you actually lean the bike less or go faster for the same lean angle if your dangly bits are big enough ;) I need to get back on track myself to improve confidence and work on body position. If you have plans for another day I might be interested depending on where an...

Re: Kwacky's Donington Report

I think it's a great idea but almost impossible to organise ourselves being realistic. The best approach would be to get in touch with an event organiser and discuss possibility of having a TS exclusive event. If too expensive or not enough interest to fill all 3 groups maybe just take one group ove...

Re: Switching from Road to Track

Yeah I know what you mean. There is two types of knee down in my personal experience.

Type 1 your hanging off like an ape.

Type 2 your going bloody fast through a corner and the knee touches down and arcs all the way through it naturally without trying or even thinking about it

Re: Switching from Road to Track

I agree with Perkles in more track days is the best method. I can knee down on track but not on road and I'm OK with that.

Re: Kwacky's Donington Report

Nice write up Kwacky. Tbh I m very similar as I also used to do more track days and subsequently had more confidence and ability because of it. You had a great day with some good mates and these days that's way more important to me than any lap time. Glad you and Perkles both enjoyed the track time ...
