... temporary fix which may work and has done for me is screw in a self tapper with some silicone sealant on it. Will get you a few miles down the road no problem. If it doesn't seal It will be because a slit rather than a whole I would guess. Hope the info is helpful.

... I'll order the repair thingy to see if I can seal it long enough to ride to a repairer. Might get a quote from CMC cannock first as only down the road so not as far to risk riding,

... 40 miles in distance. If you had a smash and your insurer found you had a repaired tyre that was not suitable they could argue your bike is not road worthy and not pay out. It has been mentioned elsewhere so there is potential it could happen.

It's special I agree but not special enough to justify 60k imo. I genuinely would prefer the more road focused 1299 if I had the choice.

Think what you could buy with 60k
Ducati 1299s for the road, Yamaha R1M for the track and a BMW S1000XR for holidays and days out with the missus. Plus you would still have best part of 10 grand cash for fuel, tyres and track days

There is a road up there but it's 35% and narrow, and if you get vertigo then don't bother as it's unfenced, have you been up The Burway kwacky? I occasionally ride it and just hope I never have to do a hill start up there...
