Same here, that said we use Hive for lights and heating, but there’s no facility for it to log anything other than that, I’m not paranoid enough to want the camera option. Yet.

Re: Rossi

... weeks back where he reckoned he would race cars once finished with bikes. Wants to do Le Mans 24 hour with Alonso. I dont blame him. I,ll do the same once I finish with biking and once it would get hard to control bikes I,d get myself a fast car to play on twisty roads. :D

Re: So here's my plan...

... so good but.... £500 just ain't enough these days imo, yes may you can get something for that price but i would think that you will spend out the same again getting it properly sorted. i'd try and get a bit more cash together, at least £1,500 to cover purchase and sorting plus maybe go for something ...

Re: New gear

... though so can go try on a few bits. Well, not the RST, but the other stuff, I'm glad Duke mentioned about RST and astars being made by the same people, I had heard that too, I think that's why RST prices have gone up and Astars gone down, theres nothing between them now.

Re: New gear

... a modern kettle that’s more than three years old I’d be amazed. They are designed to fail, so you buy a new one. My Grandad died aged 94 with the same fridge he bought in his 30s!

Re: New gear

Alpinestars and RST are now made by the same people.

To be honest unless you can afford made to measure stuff, the rest is all pretty similar. I still like my Dainese jackets and jeans as I think the quality is the best for off the peg stuff.

Thats what I mean though, I think older Astars gear is the nuts but from what I understand the newer stuff isnt made to anywhere near the same quality as the old stuff

Re: Possible house move

... completely unregulated and getting paid on work done which is never checked. Would I buy another new house NO. My advice is tell your wife the same. You do get a very nice house at the end of the process but took me 12 months and still a few items outstanding to sort. 2017 was the worst year ...

Re: Weekend plans

Tomorrow morning MiniGee and myself are sourcing his DofE equipment list, afternoon is more of the same and watching the last of the Six Nations. Sunday we’ve got a birthday lunch for our DiL and Mrs Gee, so all hands on deck to make that happen and then clearing up afterwards. ...
