Re: Global warming

I read somewhere that we're "due" another ice age in around 50,000 or 100,000 years...or whenever. At this stage it's estimated that that upcoming period has now been put on "hiatus" as-it-were partly due to man-made global warming. We're a natural ...

Re: Cav's S1000RR Review

... what I have been thinking about, Duke.. I'm half decent on a bike and could probably end up mid pack in club racing, however, the BMW I rode is 7 years and 2 generations old and I wouldn't have been getting everything out of it in my first Euro trip that's for sure. - although I do feel I could ...

Re: Nutz's VFR 800

So now I'm starting to realise why Honda's and particularly VFR's get a rep for being a bit boring. Bearing in mind the bike is 17 years old when I say this.. The fuelling is smooth and progressive with no real surprises. The suspension, though soft set, is very responsive and predictable. ...

Re: If I was going to have a third bike...

... a big IF at the moment) i would certainly consider adding one to the garage. I was considering changing the Multi for the new one as mine is three years old in July, but for the cost to change i could almost have another bike. And i do actually prefer my 1200 to the 1260 version. The new one has ...

It's not how we look that counts, it's how we live that makes the difference.

Re: Musings on life

... This sounds very similar to a friend of mine's mother. If it's any help, she has a similar injection regime for bone cancer and she's lasted 10 years so far and now in her 80's.

Re: Musings on life

... this and although I don't post much I read and catch up frequently. I'm 55 this summer and live a totally different way of life than even 20 years ago.. I have no parents or siblings as they have long since left this mortal coil and have 2 girls, one 34 and one 30 . Gave up smoking 10 months ...

Quite upset me seeing the pictures. 850 years old and gone in a few hours. Tbh I felt sick watching it, one of Europe’s cutting edge buildings in its time and utterly beautiful. Paris will be stunned into silence tonight. Sky news have just ...

Re: New Bike Ponderings

Also another one for Kriega - great bit of kit, I've had mine for 4 years I'd guess and still looks like new. It's been in every weather, down pours, sleet and snow and still prefect. It's military grade and takes a battering.

It's expensive but worth it

Re: Joker

It looks close to The Killing joke.

Depends which version of Joker you're used to. I thought Jack Nicholson did a really good job. The Joker is a messed up petty criminal who has risen through the ranks. He's been hyped up in recent years to some sort of semi-super hero.

Re: It's time for another Cornish bike change....

Well hello chaps, its been too long! I'm still riding the R90, I know, I must love this bike as i've had it for 2.5 years now :-). Still enjoying every outing on it, even through the winter months, (although a lot less since getting a dog), and have made a few mods since being knocked ...

Re: Julian Assange

Too much smoke for there to be no fire. No-one who is innocent would hide for that length of time...seven years (???) without wanting to clear their name. Doesn't make sense to do that.
He wants government transparency, how's about being a little transparent yourself, Jules???

Re: Musings on life

... for the company for 25 year + are on more money than them..I tell them that they will get to that point but with time, not 1 year away but 10, 15 years. It's hard to break through that barrier when they are still in their 20s. I used to be the same I guess but now I'm in my 30s I've realised life ...
