Re: What you watching?

... watched the 1st episode. I'll admit I was intrigued by the blanket coverage of adverts that the Beeb have inundated us with. However imho there were so many ridiculous leaps & implausible actions that I was left feeling somewhat short-changed. Hopefully they were just trying too hard to ...

Re: What are you eating ??

Had a hog roast baguette. Also found The Apprentice lady's bakery. She has franchise in Berkshire and they were at the county show today. Bought 5 different slices! Will have one tonight. Also picked up Heck sausages 5 for 10quid and also freshly pressed apple juice. That was ...

Re: Dropped My Bike Today.

I've dropped 3 bikes now. 2 of them were very minor, the zx6r didn't fair so well.

Glad to hear it wasn't too bad.

Re: What are you doing today ??

... live production of Chicago. StMarks. It was certainly worth the dosh. The acting was excellent, the singing was class and to top it off the band were fantastic. I have a soft spot for live brass and string bands. The amount of work they put into it is tremendous and I LOVED the fact the director ...

Re: Send your bike off to do the shopping?

That's impressive. But then it's almost like a real-world application has to be "invented" to follow suit. An end to justify the means, as-it-were.

Cannabis clubs and the Police

I had heard about these clubs but I wasn't aware that they were starting to become so popular. In short, it's a local group who grow their own and smoke it together. It cuts out the drug dealers and it also means they know the source of the drug and what's ...

Re: Blades Scalpel

... I had a slide not because I'm a talented rider but because the tyres in the 675 are 5 years old in manufacture, 10 years old in design and never were cutting edge in there day. Basically the tyre slid as it's shite and it was cold so I've purchased something more modern. Chinese levers. Just ...

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

... its more of a enduro than a adventure as even though the adventure bikes are very capable off road you have to be good to get the most out of them were as this should make it a lot easier off road as my skill levels suck .

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

Good review. Been toying with the idea of a adventure bike for a trip next year. No were near this budget and it HAS to perform off road and still be easy for a a novice like me.

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

Given the time you own a bike and what it's used for I think a manual version would be more sensible for you. I saw one video from the US were he smashes it and it lands and hits a tree root which basically ends the bike there and then. If you do get one and take it off road, make sure you ...

Re: Chinese Levers

I've got a genuine question too!

If you were going skydiving for the first time, and right as the "Go" light came on, you noticed a 'Made In Hong Kong' label on the chute. Tell me you wouldn't think twice about the whole idea????

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

I've only ever had one bike dealer serviced and only for the first 20ish thousand miles, after the second valve clearance I did it myself. That was with Jack Lilley in Ashford and have to say they were very good. Not cheap though!

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

Re: Chinese Levers

Blade I've tried the Chinese copy ones. Quality wise they worked but weren't great to the touch, you get what you pay for and also like everyone mentioned the paint does fade, but they worked and were cheap just to try out. I then went to ASV and to be fair ...
