Re: The new improved fitness thread

I'll probably end up getting out & doing a bit of cycling at some point this weekend.
I weighed myself last night & I'm about ten pounds overweight.
I cried all the way to McDonald's.

Seemed to go ok, thanks. Hopefully they will make a quick decision either way.

Baby steps is key in the early stages. So long as she's going the right way.

My brother is struggling because he was expecting his medication to be an overnight miracle cure.

Re: World Mental health Day

She had a very bad Christmas but things are starting to move in the right direction, fingers crossed. New Psychiatrist, new drugs and they do appear to be doing something now.

She managed to drive the car last week for the first time since last September, but she's a long way off going back to work.

Re: World Mental health Day

Thats sad. To be honest I'd be looking to move away from the idiot. The only way to move his anxiety on is to change things around him and do positive things to achieve that. If his wife is taking him away she must sympathise and perhaps he can open ...

Re: Bikers and bike security

Chains that are too big to be bolt cropped by hand are the way to go. 16mm plus I think.

Angle grinders go through chains in no time but it will make a lot of noise.

Re: Brexit Round 2

I can't watch Question Time, it just makes me rage. :D

I'm not a fan of Abbott, never have been. She's a great constituency MP, but not Home Secretary material and frankly a PR disaster.

Having said that, the way she's been treated is absolutely appalling.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

... one, bad route planning though leaving the hill to the end (giggle) ;) We try and get the big hills done in the first 2 thirds of the route. That way you have the energy to run them, you then have the last third of the run to cool down and recover

Re: Brexit Round 2

As soon as the result was known we should have prepped for WTO and then invited the EU to negotiate a deal , that way we would have been in the position of strength for the negotiations and a fall back position should we not get favourable terms , no confusion or drama.
