Re: The Football Thread

No second team.

But used to follow QPR circa 1975 when they changed the way football was being played in this Country. Very much taken from the Dutch national team of that era. Total football.

Re: Brexit Round 2

General Election within a month of Brexit happening? I think so. Well, the conservatives would want out as soon as it's implemented. That way the consequential fiasco will become someone else's problem. Furthermore modern politics seems such a fickle creature that one term out of office & ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

... say that if you want to park in the street overnight you should have to buy an expensive permit to do so. I believe Japan follows this rule. That way planners would have to review how they apportion space for parking and owners might put more thought into how many cars they have.

Re: Brexit Round 2

It's poker and you can't believe anyone at face value in negotiations. You have to push and then push harder till the other side blink ;)

Only one way to negotiate.......Win (muscle)

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Driving, had enough recently, really need to get back on 2 wheels soon. Yesterday I was driving down a single lane slip road onto a motorway which is a blind bend.... Had to emergency stop as some stupid woman was REVERSING back up the slip road, ABS kicked in and everything. I was furious! ...

Re: Brexit Round 2

I think the No Deal argument is already lost.

The only way it will happen is if parliamentary democracy is blocked by a few right wing MPs. There is a significant majority in parliament who will ensure it does not happen if they are allowed to.

Re: What you watching?

Anne Frank - the Nazi capture.

Doesn't matter how many times I see concentration camp news reels and photographs, it's still incomprehensible how anyone could treat other humans in this way.
