Re: New Car

... plate on it? :? Yes, we've done it for the other cars and bikes already. Plus french insurance is much better than uk insurance, and there is no road tax in France. We have to pay some tax to change it over but it works out much cheaper in the long run 8)

Re: lean angles?

Same here - not for the road, besides the speed required being fairly deep into license losing territory, I'd be worried about R/Handers and catching a cats eye or stone with my knee.

Re: lean angles?

Aside from anything else, on a right-hander sticking your body off the side of the bike on the road means potentially putting it closer to oncoming traffic.

Not a good idea.

Re: Confidence, ever lose it ?

I find it takes me a fair while to gel with a new bike and my 6r took ages to feel enjoyable to ride, didnt help I threw it up the road a month after getting it due to a puncture in the rear which did sap my confidence a bit and not to mention I got it at the start of winter so had ages ...

Re: Confidence, ever lose it ?

I had a silly crash on the road (lost the front going down a hill on the brakes) and hurt my wrist and bumped me noggin.I lost my confidence for a month or two especially on track after that.Just take it steady and it will come back in time
