Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Went for the last evening thrash of the summer on the 853.

My body is starting to tell me that maybe I am not flexible enough to ride a sports bike on the road anymore.

Re: Africa Twin DCT

I know a couple of riders with the DCT version and they love it.

The only issue I've heard of with the AT is rusting on the wheels, which Honda have been replacing without quibble.

I've seen lots of photos of them off road, hip deep in water.

Africa Twin DCT

... model ago. I mean I really went there in the mind set of slating it. Having ridden sports bikes most my life and enjoyed track days, and doing off road on the 800XC (and I don't mean fire trails or gavel paths). I ENJOY CLUTCH... (giggle) No way would I like an automatic. I mean moving from a big ...

... on both the 10 & the Pani. There is method to my madness though. The 675 was always bought as a cheap hack for track days and the odd euro road trip, therefore I was keeping spending to eessentials and function rather than form. That said, never let it be said I don't listen to you lot, ...

Re: What you watching?

Those vast airship hangars that are seen a bit later on in the movie are right down the road from here. Biggest building I think I have ever been inside.

If you get stopped in the Thames Valley, Hants or West Mids

... action when the man drove the wrong way after pulling out from a junction on to the A3 in Surrey. The elderly driver was stopped and given a roadside eyesight test, which he failed as he could only read a number plate from 7.3m away. The minimum distance is 20m. The power to revoke licences ...

... ranging from my Brothers Pan to an old Harley of some kind, I’m guessing there’ll be some drama along the way, but it’s all part of an extended road trip, he’s never done anything like this before, so I’ve wished him luck, lent him my puncture kit and I’ll follow his progress on FB. (y)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Today rode 230 miles all in to Cheddar Gorge. What absolutely amazing roads to get there. I went with 2 of my mates and we got a move on. I sh!t myself up a couple of times though. The first I was shifting and didn't quite realise how quick I was going and ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Traffic on our roads is starting to reach crisis point. There are just too many vehicles on the road.

Re: Quickshifter Recommendations

It has to be said that I think the downshifting is more useful on the road than the upshift. Also gives a cleaner shift in most instances. The reason I believe they might not be fitted as standard is because the manufacturers think the gearbox is not strong ...

I presume that they do the Supercorsa in a 180/60?

That's 110mm on road it's only going to get worse on track (happy)

Re: Blades Scalpel

What tyres are on it? Looks a decent purchase. I must confess that as much as riding silly fast bikes on track and road is great, i do believe you learn more from riding something with power that you can use more of. The motor is very quiet and very smooth but after the 1299 feels ...

Re: Bendix MRR

The same. https://www.pdq1.com/brand.php?BrandID=2 si where I get them from but you might find cheaper.

I'll be surprised if you don't like them. They work really well on both road and track and they can deal with the wet.
