Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I was just thinking tall, heavy and skinny off-road tyres didn't sound much fun on ice (wasntme)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Yep. The Versys doesn't have any electronic aids on it apart from ABS.

The AT is fine when it slides, it does it in a predictable and gentle manner. I guess it's designed that way for when you take it off road.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I went for the centre stand. I thought with the bike being so tall and heavy that getting it off a paddock stand would be a PITA. Plus it's easier to change the tube on the rear if you get a flat on the road.

Have to tip my hat that was mighty impressive.

Just watched that myself and have to agree. The segment on Jim Clarke was a real education for me and an amazing story of a deadset legend.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... morning. About 5 minutes into my ride there's an almighty thud on the side of my helmet. No damage to the lid but there was a dead bird in the road. You did well then - they hurt! Glad it didnt damage anything. I had one a while back in the outside lane of motorway - hit the bike, shoulder ...

Hammond's rant about horses!! :D

I do enjoy this format a lot better than Season 2; they don't overdo it with the stupid antics

Re: Daytona 765

... it will be. It doesn't bother me because it's still going to be the track bike to have and might attract people back onto sports bikes on the road. Either way, I won't be buying one so like I say - it doesn't bother me! :D

Re: Daytona 765

The brakes clearly work :D That's clearly a production bike as it's got all of the road stuff on it. It looks tiny. I like the way it's kept the Daytona look. I can't wait to see more photos. It looks very well thought out from that snap. The swingarm is sexy. The ...

Re: Daytona 765

It depends where its aimed. I'm guessing it's got to hit the 959 and the F3 800 markets more than the jap markets. They could do a road legal race rep for about £13k and it would sell.

Infact we literally drove around with no problem so we decided to make our way to Basingstoke as everyone else was driving ...

2019 Versys 1000

... suspension, cornering lights upgraded brakes, 4 rider modes, quickshifter and slipper clutch It looks like they're selling it just as a road bike, unlike most of the rivals it's up against which have an element of off road capability. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Ct5EFOFSY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_G6bmi85EU

Re: 2017 Versys 650 Grand Tourer - ongoing review

The bike is now heavily covered in road grime and crud. I've not washed for a few weeks now. I've no idea what it's going to be like when I do. The plan is to leave it until the end of Feb then I'll give it a good scrub and see what the winter ...

Re: Giving our own problems some perspective

When I was in secondary school we had a footbridge then went across a main road as the school was on both sides of the road. I remember a girl (couldn't tell you how old or anything other than obviously young) climbing over and trying to jump. How bad must it ...
