Re: Daytona 600/650 Technical Info

... pretty sure I posted up threads with wheel bearing/seal part numbers (or their equivalents), fuel connector part numbers (or variants), amongst other things. There are probably a stack of electrical threads covering the stator, reg-rec and the well know charging system issues, that could all ...

You will get oil on the headers when you take the spin-on filter off, otherwise it's just the sump drain plug and filler plug on the engine case. I've done the plugs, air filter and lots of other bits as well, all without ...

Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....

... to an epic one.: I was in a flash bike showroom, probably about 10 years ago. A couple of lads were looking round together & hyping each other up. I was talking to a salesman (can't remember what about) when the aforementioned lads started sitting on some of the bikes. After a couple ...

Re: 2015 Euro Track Date

... into BBS before but having read through their site, and the quoted figures of riders, and the fact its open pit lane it sounds perfect!! On the other hand, I have heard a couple of horror stories with Focused Events so would not really be keen on doing a Euro trip with them.

Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....

(rolf) Hippy

I did a similar thing a few months ago on a motorway services. Got the panniers on and a heavy rucksack. Tried a high kick to get my leg over and my other leg went from under me. Ended up on my back with my head in one of those miniature privet hedges!

Re: The Dropped my Bike like a plonker thread....

... check the bike over, have a smoke to calm my nerves. When I go to get back on the bike, i'm obviously a bit over zealous and go straight over the other side of the bike, my right leg and pulled muscle don't have the energy to hold the weight and the bike goes down on the right again. I managed ...

Re: Motorway driving has got so much worse

I think I managed to ride for about 3 miles this morning in lane 1 of the M6 without having to slow down. All of the other buggers were in lanes 2 and 3. One even flashed his lights at me. He didn't change lanes though.

Re: Introductions

... onwards…. Motorcycles was really just a logical progression. On the road I don’t ride too quickly, observing most limits. However rarely do I let other road users delay my progress. On the track I just trundle round, trying not to get in the way of too many of the proper riders. Does that cover ...
