Re: Brexit Round 2

The coalition killed the LibDem party. They were just starting to gain momentum and could have been a proper alternative. Getting into bed with the Tories set them back years. It's a shame as I actually liked Clegg, he could have gone far. Which is why I think they need to reinvent ...

Re: Must be getting old

And there is the issue, Nutz. All in its easier and probably quicker overall to drive. BUT I am at a point in my life where I want to be working less which means reducing come outgoings. I'm just thinking ahead but once Alex finishes Uni I want to be reducing my hours little by little. It would be g...

Re: Must be getting old

My problem with commuting on the bike is note the bike, I recon it would be awesome. I takes about 10 mins I get the kit on and the bike out on the road, is only a 20 min journey (probably less on the bike)

Makes more sense time wise to just use the car.

... exactly as good (bad) as I was, so that all worked out well. Can't get another lesson in for a couple of weeks, but looking forward very much to getting back to it! Interestingly, when I got back on my bike a couple of days later, I was crap again :o/ I'm totally blaming the bike, now.... :?

Re: Must be getting old

You can get the basic versys 650 very cheap and they cost next to nothing to run. Or have a look at the tracer 700

Re: Must be getting old

Mm thought as much.

I was thinking the other day why i don't have any great incentive to commute on the bike even though the weather is spot on. The Multi is a great bike but not sure commuting is its ideal place to be.

Kwacky - would you say the relative light weight of your Versys is a great asset when commuting?

Journey to Biking

... Fast forward a few weeks, and I'm reasonably comfortable on normal, quiet roads. I'm still struggling with slow speed control, but it's slowly getting better. I've booked my first proper DAS lesson on Thursday with RMT Motorcycle Training in Redditch. They're not the cheapest but they're pretty ...
