Re: What are you doing today ??

... Audi Q3 courtesy car today. I really don't get what people see in SUVs. They have no benefits over a more conventional saloon as far as I can see. Being that little bit higher in the Outlander is quite nice. The two major things are the loading height didn't require bending and there is by buffeting ...

... to some basic facts about the world as it is today, then there will be no **** left working here in 20 years time. More and more skilled jobs are being replaced by computers. My job will not exist in less than 20 years time. Replaced by computers. My wife heard this week how the skilled workers ...

Re: Ford Europe

yes I was aware of that and it costs the NHS millions as everyone else claims their dues and we dont, its a joke being paid for by our taxes. I would suggest that is our government's fault as a lack of control and systems to ensure that doesn't happen. I dont get free healthcare ...

Re: Journey to Biking

That's a tricky one, Mr K - lots of thinking and making a nuisance of myself at showrooms to be done! Much more has opened up since I started being respectful of power rather than flat-out terrified of it! Yamaha XSR700 - this was the bike I first fell in love with that made me do my CBT. But ...

Re: Materialism

It was Malthuss who wrote that. The counterpoint to that argument being that growth in population is at least matched or surpassed by growth/advances in technology and/or engineering. Supply & demand, I guess. I mean, despite our best efforts to the contrary, ...

Re: Materialism

But it isn't overpopulation that is killing the planet currently, it's greed and avarice and too much wealth and power being in the hands of too few. The next financial crash might be just around the corner and I don't think the majority will accept being told it's their fault and ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Not a lot, my cousin came down from the lakes and introduced us to Meg, a 5 month old Black Labrador... Now I want a dog again but being single with a throw-a-6-to-start shift pattern makes that unfair on the dog. Then I fitted the Puig hand guards, as soon as I was done it started raining ...

Re: Weekend plans

Had a quiet kid free night last night as kids weekend with their mum. Jess was up at sparrows to do her Market stall and I laid in bed being a slob. Just about to head of for a night in the city, no fixed plans apart from booking the hotel room. Guess we’ll see what mischief we can get up to!
