Re: Is biking in the blood?

Awesome pic of your Dad! I think there is a gene that is common among many that draws us to higher risk ventures, motorcycling being one. (My Dad was not one, but he was in the 101st Airborne, another risky business). So, maybe not a 'motorcycling' gene, but a 'I choose to live life to ...

Re: New HADECS Speed cameras. Rear facing too...

Re: Weekend plans

Quite night tonight.
Tomorrow, check out the route for the cheddar ride and then try to get to Stow in time for a slice of cake.
Sunday, take the kids swimming in the morning and then take the eldest out in the afternoon to give Mrs Nutz a break (part of the deal for being out all day sat)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... for a blast afterwards just before it started raining. With so much decent kit these days, most of it offering decent protection but with also being quite practical off the bike, i can see the appeal of short boots, gloves, jeans etc. Not saying i would wear it on a full days ride but starting ...

Re: Mobile Phone Addiction

I'm looking at how the new Samsung performs. Battery life is key for my next one. Not being able to swap the battery on the HTC is my biggest gripe.

Re: Me new levvers...

The Spy-shot of your new Leathers is great. Thanks Nige. (y)

As for the sliding, do you have stomp grips on Morph .?

Fwiw I actually find that being able to slide myself around on the seat is quite useful. (nod)

Re: Car Tyres

I recently went with Goodyear Efficientgrip for my Alfa. Being low profiles I wanted something that still gave a lot of grip but also were quite quiet. They are also good in the wet! So far I have not had any hairy moments with them whilst driving spiritedly ...

Speedo reading incorrect

... to change them to 15 teeth FOC. As far as I know Triumph refused to correct the speedos also. I think that could be the problem with my speedo being out. Is it possible to correct this and also the mileage will be showing a lot higher than it should I would imagine also.

Re: Neighbour disputes

He had some people round on Sunday evening. I suspect he wanted some witnesses to support his case.

So being the petty sod I am I waited until they had enough then put the bags out in the usual spot.

Re: New MCN May 28: Isle of Man TT special

I've just read on another forum that so far there ahve been 12 bikes smashed on the mountain section.

I realise these people don't do it on purpose but FFs have some consideration for others. If this carries on they'll stop the public from being able to ride faster than 60mph.
