Ahh thats what we should of been shown!

Its prob for the best, at end of day fire is fire. Got to protect our countryside and the residents of the countryside (badgers, foxes, birds etc)

Paraffin for me too. Never had a problem. It's about £7 for a 4 litre bottle in b&q last ten I got some and lasts for ever. Great for getting oil splatter off wheels too (y) The saving is there to be taken. I usually use muc off but its bloody expensive! Get a load of it and a spray bottle and ...

Ive used a fair few to and to be fair i seem to go back to Muc Off too due to it smelling lovely! But want to try paraffin due to price!

Ive had it for years but think its gone walk abouts as i dont know where it is now when i last cleaned the bike a few weeks back. Im seriously considering Paraffin. Never used it before but heard lots of good stuff and its cheap.

Are there diffrrent types of paraffin, eg if i bought a bottle at B&Q eill different ones do different things or is there only one type?!

Chain Cleaning

So what does everyone use?

Using specific chain cleaner is getting expensive

Ive heard of using Kerosene/ paraffin? What would people recommend if using this stuff. And where to buy?

Cant put a photo up! The slip on is no different to the orginal only smaller. @Cav - I did have a ride without using the back brake, it was to work, defo dont rest my foot on it as i tend to use my ball of my feet for the rests and even on times when i do rest on the middle i angle my foot. Cheers Kwacky thats an understandable practice to be fair for a bike that gets used everyday in all weathers. Nice to hear about the discs. Its easy enough to pick up pads and change them but discs is a different story!

Christ...Brembo Sintered pads ' 63 quid for one caliper. I had them in one of my last bikes, they were fanastic but thats a lot of dosh

They are a good price as well. May give them a go. How many miles do you get from them?

Edit - im not too bothered if it doesnt last too long, i would prefer to change them more frequently for safe riding than carry on for years and years lol
