Re: Mr Postman

That will last you years Rossgo (y) I can't remember how long I have had mine but longer than I remember and still going strong. I do like a clean chain. The previous owner of the 675 had used that horrible wax chain lube (swear) and it looked like it had been in a bukkake party (wasntme) Got it all...

Cheers pal (y) wasn't anything big or any drama tbh.

They just simply slid in conditions you would expect there to be grip, but it was all very controllable. Just a sh1t budget tyre tbh (n)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Cookie that link is for the Sport Attack 3 and I have the Sport Attack, not the later rev 3 so completely different tyre. For the record I had the SA3 on my zx10r and wrote a great review about them. To be fair I never said they don't warm up quickly I said they don't retain the heat. What is it you...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Slid it (blush)

Turns out Continental Sport Attack are not that sporty. Had a couple of slides this morning so coffee, cake and home. Quit why I'm ahead.

They don't seem to hold any heat and although relatively tame slides they loose traction very easy in the cold (n)

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Tbh when we moved house 18 months ago we sold the old washer and tumble drier as the new house came with brand new items. They both still worked fine and were in good condition. I think the washer had a new belt after about 14 years and that was it. Both were bought by my parents when we got married...

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

I asked that Duke and great question. The response I got from Kawasaki is below: "We understand that some owners may wish to use an independent dealer or carry out the work themselves. However, in the unlikely event an issue arises with a machine, Kawasaki cannot accept responsibility or cover ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

We buy alot of goods from John Lewis too as find they have knowledgeable, helpful staff, often price match and can often provide free extended warranties. Slightly off subject. Have you looked at the Nationwide Gold card Deegee? We use it as it provides an additional 12 months product insurance. Cou...

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

Sounds like we have all had bad experiences which isn't great to hear as it means it's common place and that good dealers with good technicians are rarer than you think. The worrying bit is alot of it is done on blind trust as you assume their a main dealer, their bikers, their helpful and thereore ...

Re: Silverstone MotoGP

Silverstone wanted to wait till much later than 4pm before they cancelled. I believe race direction took the decision at 4pm but Silverstone wanted to race right up to dusk. I suspect they had been reviewing their insurance and realised they were on a sticky wicket regards paying out for a no race s...

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

Depends on the dealer. You can be sure that if you mention the name of a dealer someone will pipe up with "I had a bad experience there". Sadly mechanics are human like everyone else and the can miss things. Then there are the dealers who don't give a shit. Action Motorcycles in Redditch ...

Re: Main Dealer Servicing

A warranty isn't void if not dealer serviced Duke that's a common mis understanding to be fair. It has to be serviced in line with manufacturers specifications and schedules, with oem parts but the work can be carried out by anyone competent to do so. I've made warranty claims with Kawasaki when the...
