Streetfighter 1098 test ride

... at last week. Its an 09 reg with 12k on the clock. It looks immaculate and like new. It was registered new in the UK but has spent the last few years in Ireland and is still on an Irish plate. As with all test rides i took it a bit leisurely to start. the traffic round the dealers was chaotic ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

... It's abysmal.. it teaches people to have no aspirations. It's all or nothing. I'm sure we'll sort it out but it will likely mean a couple of hard years now and no chance of bike time for another couple of years. I thought we were just about scraping through as it was. I've already been advertising ...

Re: Marquez - the Messi of motorsport

thanks for sharing that, I enjoyed reading it, I really do think he is something VERY VERY special, and it will be an honour to tell people in years to come that we got to see him at the beginning of his career and watch his reign begin. Also he will go down as the greatest of all time in my ...

Re: Police numbers

I'm sure there'll be a private patrol I can subscribe to in the next couple of years.

I wonder how long it'll be before the fire services go back to being owned by insurance companies?

Re: World's longest sea crossing

They've been able to do it for over 150 years. I don't think it's anything new. They've been able to do it....or it's been considered feasible to do it? They have been able to do it and the Scandinavians have already done it and i traveled on ...

Re: Marquez and Japan

He's almost certainly going to beat Rossi to 10 championships. I doubt Rossi will ever reach it to be honest.

5 GP championships in 6 years too and winning the championship in his Rookie season. He just racks up the greatness

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Couldn't agree more a retest every 1p years is doable in my opinion and would gain the government some money in the process. Yesterday I was following a old bloke in a csr that was far too big for him in my opinion, who slammed on his brakes ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Belt change every two years isn't that attractive to me. 848 is a much better ownership prospect imo.
Besides it's not how much power you have but how you use it :)

... version came under new servicing intervals which the 1098 didn't. I may be wrong though. Michael Neeves at MCN had an 848 as a long termer a few years back (the vids are on YouTube) and he reckoned it was the better bike too. He had both as long termers. Yes I had seen that one Blade. Re: Dropped helmet.

Dropped from waist height.....fine. Dropped from head height....be wary. Someone told me that years ago as a general rule to go by & it stuck with me. I have no idea it it's true, but it sounds legit. But with carpet down to cushion the fall, I honestly wouldn't worry ...
