You could try Safari. Don't know what it's like on Windows but it's fantastic on the Mac. Safari on windows is pants, they stopped updating it years ago. I've not noticed much of an issue with chrome, but then my work machine is so heavily loaded up I doubt I would. I think my issues were more ...
