Weekend Plans?

... going to boxing then staying in. Wifey is working tomorrow so I've got the kids. Might take them to the local nature centre as we've not been this year. Then out on the evening for a few jars with Perkles. No plans for sunday. I'll see what the weather is doing.

Re: The Glorious British Summer

I have been working weekends most of this year so I seem to have missed the worst weather and it's not felt like it's been a bad year when I have only had a few lectures to go to and then having a nice weekday afternoon. there have been a couple ...

Re: The Glorious British Summer

My favourite riding time is summer evenings.

As you say, no plod and little traffic to spoil the ride.

I reckon we should do a mid summer evening ride out to wales next year. Stop the night in a decent hostelry and ride back the next evening.

... I have worn by some margin. I would however recommend you try one on as they do Medium Small and Medium Large sizes. I bought mine at the NEC last year and spent ages deciding between the two sizes and wore both for about 10 minutes each within the sellers stand. :D I eventually plumped for the ...

... quiet, light and with great ventaliation. I want something for dedicated sunny day blasts as I've already got the shoei GT air for touring and all year round use. Tried a few on tonight as stumbled past infinity motorcycles so popped in. I was recomended and liked the Shoei NXR which was a good ...

Can't be all that bad surely. I've done over 6000 miles his year and 95% of that has been in the dry.

Re: The Glorious British Summer

Getting worse and worse now, I can't remember many nice days this year in all honesty. Winter is on her way and she's waiting to throw a shot storm at us I'm sure of it!

... stones. I'm waffling. He should go to MototGP, but I'm not sure he would do well tbh. I thought Redding would do a lot better than he has this year. Maybe on a par with Bradley, but nowhere near as good as Bradders unfortunately.

Totally agree Perks.

Didn't mean to start a debate on tc or NO tc just enjoyed the SP so much yesterday I wanted to ramble on about it and how a 11 year old bike can still make you grin from ear to ear :P

... the road but then its not all about speed on the road but how riding the bike well makes you feel. I'm still tempted to take the 748 on track next year as it runs and handles so well on the road I would like to see just how good it might be if i pushed a little bit harder.

Re: Old Skool Biking

I think I'll be on the lookout for an out and out sports bike next year. It'll be for an occasional Sunday blast so won't be spending top dollar on it. More than likely a ZX6R. I've had a '97 GSXR600 SRAD, an '06 Daytona, an '11 Daytona and a '99 R1 in my ...

Old Skool Biking

... power modes, slipper clutches, electronic engine braking, anti wheelie etc, etc..... we had it all yesterday. I did the same roads today on an 11 year old sportsbike. No electronics at all and probably 60 bhp lighter. Sportsbiking has definitely changed in the last decade but boy can old Skool ...

... Whilst I thought that was a daft idea, I'm actually quite pleased as the bracket was ripped off when I went down at Snetterton earlier this year, and I used the other one to repair. It's not bling, and being plastic you may consider it flimsy, but I pretty certain it will do to stop my brake ...

... carbon fibre Chris boardman race bike on the cycle to work scheme. He was the biggest p1ss head ever and not into any form of exercise. After a year of owning it I asked he had used it much. His reply was once to go to the off lience and hang 4 cans of Stella off it (blush)
