Re: Bike Insurance

Bewiser are fooking useless, seriously they shouldn't even be in the insurance market. Even if they were 10 pence a year I wouldn't use them. The guy doesn't even recognise Thatcham Category 1 which is an industry recognised standard, Doesn't know what an end can is, things ...

I think they are ok but haven't had it on track to really test them, they are nowhere near as good as the brembos on my old rc8.They were stunning brakes even with standard pads fluid and lines

Probably, very true. In general.

I suspect that a lot of our generation (ie, the one with kids now of school age) compare and contrast to when we were at school. Human nature.

Re: Chain and sprockets

I was warned off DID a few years ago, but by all accounts they took on board the criticism and they're not back to being high quality

The issue I'm told is that they were failing in races due to the change in quality of the chains.

Re: Chain and sprockets

I got told DID used to be the best when they were made in the DID factory in Japan but since they subcontracted the manufacturing out the quality had dropped off.

Not sure how true just what I heard.

He quoted me less but didn't realise there were going to be so many valves needing adjusting so I asked him how much it actually cost and paid that. I assume he replaced some and swapped others over. He does get shims cheap though, he worked on ...

I have no idea which. I don't know enough about it all to make an informed decision. I thought that was what the politicians were for. To make these complex decisions for us keeping our best interests in mind.

I'd never bothered to look at that in fairness.. I used to use O-ring chains but found they were crap so bought an XW ring chain and 2 years later it's still like new, I don't think there's a single seized link I'll stick with a steel front sprocket though, that must ...
