Re: What are you doing today ??

... tomorrow, so my typical mad Monday trying to organise and clean the house and my life before I leave. Got my work ahead of me as the Christmas weekend has left my house in a right state!! Think the Christmas tree will be staying up till I get back. Luckily I got the yard work squared away yesterday.

Re: What are you doing today ??

... away this week. I've run with him for about 3 years and he was an amazing runner who loved his park runs. Fit as a fiddle, but had a stroke last weekend. Not 100% sure how old he was, but I'm guessing late 40's early 50's. Just shows how precious life is and why we should enjoy every second we ...

Re: What do you want to praise today?

My mate, for offering me an all expenses paid trip to see Blues play Fulham this weekend.

Coach down, river trip on the Thames with free food and booze, posh seats at the football. Dinner then a coach home.

Sadly I can't make it ;(

Re: getting that fix

... that often as most here know, I’m a fly in fly out worker and spent 3 week stints away, and when i’m back I have full custody of my kids bar one weekend. So my rides are limited to quick 1-2 hr mid week blasts if I find the time or a two up tour ride with the girlfriend in our kid free weekend.

Helmets and safety

I bought a new helmet at the weekend an AGV K5S. I was talking to the guy on the Sharp helmet testing stand. Apparently the current legal standard does not test for side impact but Sharp do. Isn’t this a severe fault in the testing standard? ...

Re: Christmas Trees

Usually a week or two out but it will be going up first weekend of December this year as I’m away over Christmas and New Years at work so we are having our Christmas for Jess, myself and the kids on the second weekend of December and I fly out a couple of days later.

Re: Christmas Trees

We normally go first weekend of December but that's coz my Mrs is overly excitable. I imagine that as quick as it goes up this year it will come down just as quick once little one gets his grubby mits on it.

She’s already got a full time job, but bacon sarnies and cake etc will be available for any Slappers that turn up here on a weekend, just give her some notice.

See you next summer folks! 8)

Re: 2017 Versys 650 Grand Tourer - ongoing review

Try some gear oil on it or the Scotts chain oil. Let it soak in over a weekend on a warm chain.

Re: 2017 Versys 650 Grand Tourer - ongoing review

I think I've killed off my chain. I gave it a rally good scrub and lube last weekend but it's still got a couple of stiff links. I didn't really want to get a new chain this side of Christmas but it's better than having a chain breaking and whipping about the ...
