Re: Work/life balance

... say you're doing anything wrong and to be fair, I haven't lived in an unbroken home so they dynamic isn't what I'm used to. I'd see my Dad every weekend and it was awesome but I didn't feel any less about my Mum, it was just over a longer period of time. I'm sure they do appreciate everything ...

Re: Work/life balance

... more worthwhile. However, I'm struggling big time due to the extra work load. Work 4 days a week, a pointless trip into Uni once a week, daylight weekend hours working on the garden/man cave and I also need to find time (and energy) in the weekday evenings for my Literature Review among other ...

What do you call a pack of pushbikes!

... bunch for no reason, but it really gets on my nerves the lack of road awareness & safety and arrogance that seems to be the norm every bloody weekend! No doubt I will get shot down by someone.... but as I say (facepalm) (swear) its just winding me up (gah) https://youtu.be/58v_CG0gid4

Re: Kiwi

... overly well we just had a quiet night in with takeaways, Netflix and gin. Didn’t see the kids as they are with their mum but I organised an extra weekend with them next weekend so will get my birthday cuddles then.

Re: Work/life balance

... tempted. My kids are approaching university age, I'm 20 years away from retiring, I've just taken on a new mortgage. The extra money will pay for weekend breaks so I can spend time with my wife. It is a big firm. I could easily move or create my own team once I've been there long enough. They ...

Re: Weekend plans

Swedish meatballs for lunch tomorrow at that well known furniture store, then the inevitable flatpack assembly later, we’ve failed to get tickets for tomorrow evening for Grindelwald, so we’ll probably do a film and eat something nice. No plans except rest and dinner for Sunday as yet, possibly try ...

Re: Weekend plans

Due to operational requirements I've had to take my "weekend" off today.
So good news is that's my last night shift done out here.
Bad news is I'm starting days tomorrow, so I've had a couple of hours sleep and now I'm having to power through until the evening.

I'm already flagging. |-)

Re: Weekend plans

Tomorrow I’m waking up a year older and meeting up with another local who is a GB400 owner, found through a FB group. Doing a 2 hour loop on the old girls over to Leura in the Blue Mountains to the Caffeine and Gasoline Cafe. Saturday night out to dinner with friends ( though I don’t know who, it’s ...

Re: Milan Bike Show - a few thoughts

Good job it wasn't this weekend. It would have cost us 2% more.

The general consensus from speaking to others who have also been before is that the crowds were significantly higher on every single day. Not sure I would visit the show on a Saturday again.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... the bend. He bottled it after that. (muscle) On the downside the bike now has road salt on it so I need to give the little greenie a big wash this weekend. If I've got the time I'll do the winter prep so it won't get washed again until after winter.

Milan Bike Show - a few thoughts

Another good weekend away, this time to a bike show I've wanted to visit. It's massive. I reckon it's easily twice the size of the NEC Bike show, if not 3 times. Every single bike manufacturer you've heard of plus dozens more were ...

Over the weekend a fund raising campaign was started for him and today it just clicked over $100,000. I hope he gets his life on track and from seeing interviews ...
