Re: The new improved fitness thread

Work, a busted finger and general malaise means I've not done anything this week apart from Taekwondo on Monday. I've cancelled this evening's session with my PT. Work is a bit mental so I'm not sure if I could make it anyway.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Ordered myself a weight belt to add 'body weight' during dips and pull ups. £6.99 with free shipping seems alright to me. Someone at the gym loaned me theirs to use, I did 1 set without, 3 sets with then another set without. Was really nice feeling like I was doing strength training with a pull up. ...

Re: Cavetrolls MT09 thread

I honestly think you'd be better off going to someone like MCT. Check out what Darren did for 300 quid on an R nineT Racer.

Re: Cavetrolls MT09 thread

I'd be interested to hear what you think of the basic stock if you go done that route. You always hear how good the swanky stuff is but it would be good insight into how different it makes the bike compared to the standard stuff Also how different Ohlins fork springs would be compared to standard. S...

Re: Cavetrolls MT09 thread

A guy I know had the Ohlins Andreanni kit fitted to his. He must have weighed 18 stone or more and my mate on a steelie racebike struggled to keep up with him in the corners. That stuff must be pretty good.. think it's £1200 for the forks and shock rather than the £2500 you'd be looking at for the ...

Re: Cavetrolls MT09 thread

Leaning more towards the Ohlins now for the simple reason the hyperpro doesn't allow preload adjustment once the shock is fitted. I'm finding it hard to decide, Its a lot of money to spend without knowing exactly how well it will help.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Week 3 weigh in yesterday.. I lost a further 2.25 lbs totaling 8.4lbs loss. How do I feel? Great! I have a bit more energy and body weight exercises are noticeably easier. Am I constantly hungry? No. I'm having 2050kcals a day and by choosing what I eat somewhat carefully I feel fuller for longer th...

Re: Cavetrolls MT09 thread

yeah worth a look, just had a quote for fitting, £400ish for fitting both ends plus set up, 1st quote Ive had so no idea if that's reasonable or not edit: just called local dealer, they just want 2 hours labour for fitting, much better, although I know the other one is a much thorough service and in...

D6Nutz wrote:"Pretty fast" ?!?!? That's {insert long string of expletives} fast....

That's an average 6:30 min/mile (shocked). To give perspective, my fastest ever mile is 7:06 and I didn't have to run 26 of them.
