Re: Which Street Tripple?

Also Kwacky... What are the Triumphs like for reliability?
I really like one of these bikes though b,cos first of all they,re British and secondly they have a certain style that the Japanese bikes don,t.

Re: Which Street Tripple?

... like that. But overall the guy reckons theres not much difference between the old 675 and the new 765. What do u think? I intend to test them both though before I commit to buying either of them.

I'd also question this. My 990 SD is 7 years old, OK granted it's very low mileage at under 10k, but other than a few stone chips there is no sign of wear.

I've yet to have it serviced though so I may change my mind then.

Re: What are you Listening to today???

I was listening to Limp Bizkit for the last half hour, now I'm on "EDM music for workouts" to help me smash through some boring work. It's not very good at making me lose track of time though so I may move onto Tokio Myers album

Re: Just one bike

The Triumph Explorer looks like a good piece of kit. I'm not sure if it's a bit too much for my needs though. No harm in looking if I'm going to a Triumph dealer.

Re: Just one bike

Tough decision, Kwacky :?

I'm finding it hard enough choosing a road bike and I don't have the problem of wanting a bike to commute on.

While ever I'm green laning it will always be 2 bikes though.

Re: In your professional opinion..

... I am being hasty but I've been thinking like this more often than not over the last 12 months or more. Some interesting views on what learning is though and I value them all.. I am always wanting to learn, and that includes learning how I can learn better or differently

Re: Wet weather KIt

HG stuff is pretty good but it's not the best at keeping the water out. It does last for years though. Most people wash it in waterproofing treatment but that means you end up with a sweaty jacket. Goretex is king. Held and IXS are good brands but they're not cheap. I've ...

Re: Just one bike

... with the Multi, and although I don’t commute anymore I’ve done enough heavy traffic riding on it to be convinced it would do that duty fine too. Though from the sound of your commute and your previous comments the 1200 may be too much of a lump. But there is a compromise! The Multi 950. Still ...

Re: Just one bike

I think I've ridden the Street once in the last 4 months. One thing to bear in mind though, the last 4 months haven't exactly been the best weather to get out and play on the Street, which is what you got it for, isn't it. A plaything? If you were to ask this question ...

Re: Just one bike

Stonsie's bike was fun to ride.

17l fuel tank though and a tank range of 130 miles. That's 100 less than I get on the versys (which is not surprising).
